Hudson stared at the draft on the computer screen. His eyebrows were knitted together in a deep frown.
Matthew caught the look on his face.
"Is something wrong? Doesn't it fit well?"
Hudson shot Matthew a look of disbelief, his eyes wide with astonishment.
"Lucy came up with this?"
Matthew nodded, puzzled by Hudson's reaction.
"Let's get this contract signed!" Hudson, bubbling with excitement, flipped open the contract. He did not even glance over it before scribbling down his signature.
Matthew was taken aback by his swift action, at a loss for words.
"You're just going to sign it like that without reading it?"
"Mrs. Leon is truly remarkable, just as Koven said. Her design is fresh and innovative; the clothes are simple yet sophisticated, not a tad bit tacky. With such extraordinary talent, how could I possibly haggle over the contract?"
Matthew did not really get fashion. His assistant picked out all his suits, and he was always out of the loop regarding the latest styles.
However, he could tell from Hudson's reaction that Lucy's design was something special, and she was definitely a rising star.
Once the contract was all set, Hudson proposed, "Mr. Leon, how about we grab a bite to eat? I'm pretty hungry. Got anything good in the employee cafeteria?" He looked forward to having a meal now that the contract was signed.
Matthew met his gaze and internally sighed at how much of a handful he was.
"Sure, let's go."

Hudson trailed behind, looking completely baffled. His own company was nothing compared to Matthew's. He had never visited before, and now that he was here, he realized Matthew's place was way fancier than he had ever imagined!

It was lunchtime, and most of the female employees were stealing glances at Matthew and Hudson. They had been working here for years and rarely got to see the big boss himself.

"Let's eat in my office. It's... too crowded here."

Hudson walked into the office and cheerfully put the steak on Matthew's desk.
Suddenly, he felt a weird chill and spun around. Matthew was eyeing the steak, but actually, he seemed more interested in the desk underneath it. Hudson did not catch on just yet.
"What's up? Even if you don't feel like eating, are you planning on watching me?" Hudson asked, his eyes wide with curiosity.
