Chapter 26 Discount
Chapter 26 Discount
It was a lingering night.
Lacey woke up fatigued the next morning.
"Swoosh," the thick curtains were suddenly pulled open.
The room was bathed in sunlight.
Lacey, who was lying on the bed, frowned.
She felt achy all over and could barely move as if she had experienced a disaster.
"Ouch." Lacey bit her lower lip and took a deep breath. She scowled after that, unable to believe that
she had a wet dream.
Frowning, she rubbed her waist before slowly opening her eyes.
"Ah!" Just as her eyes opened, Lacey saw Sam sitting in the chair.
Sam had been there for quite some time. His dark eyes stared at her in silence. Unable to determine Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
his mood.
"Lacey!" Sam called out the name through gritted teeth.
Lacey's heart skipped a beat, and she unconsciously moved backward.
But as soon as she moved, the pain between her legs intensified.
She noticed that her legs were covered with purple marks after the whole night love.
Lacey took a deep breath and immediately examined her chest. As expected, there were purple marks
on it as well.
What was going on?
Why was she here?
The last thing she remembered was Alina sending something over and telling her to grab it outside the
door.
What happened after that?
Just then, vague memories began to flood in. She recalled her resisting, cryings, biting, and scratching
from the night before.
Wait a minute—
This would imply that it was not a dream!
It was as real as reality!
It was at that moment that Sam got up and approached her.
Before Lacey had the chance to react, her chin was lifted by him.
"I've made a mistake by underestimating you. You'd really do anything to get into my bed!" Sam stared
at her resentfully, as if she had committed a dreadful crime.
Lacey couldn't help but frown. She felt uncomfortable with what he had just said.
Smirking, she cynically stared him in the eyes and asked, "Shouldn't you be asking yourself how I
ended up in your bed?"
"What do you mean?" Sam frowned.
"Let's not get into how I ended up in your bed while I was at the Carters'. Let's talk about how you, my
dear brother-in-law, can't tell us apart." Lacey giggled.
"Is that how you become someone's mistress with that sharp tongue of yours?" Sam pursed his lips.
His voice was as frigid as ice, and he clenched his teeth slightly.
Indeed, he couldn't tell Lacey and Lillianna apart.
In fact, he'd only slept with Lillianna once.
And when he did occasionally share a meal with her, she was always well-behaved. The woman from
the night before was no different from Lillianna. She was as obedient as a puppet.
However, he hadn't anticipated this woman to be Lacey.
If it hadn't been for the fact that his phone fully charged and that he had received a message from
Lillianna, he might not have been able to distinguish between them.
"Don't you dare tell anyone about this!" Sam issued a warning and released her chin. Then he put on
the jacket he'd picked up off to the side.
What he said shattered the last piece of fear Lacey had of him.
Her eyes dull for a few seconds, then she grinned.
That was right. She'd already been called out on the Internet. What was there left to be afraid of?
"Sure, that'll be four hundred thousand dollars!" She said indifferently.
Sam, who had just gotten dressed, froze when he heard the offer. He shot her a sidelong glance and
couldn't help but frown.
"What did you just say?"
Lacey rose from the bed. There wasn't a single cloth on her. She was walking barefoot on the soft
carpet.
Her flawless figure was bathed in golden light. Lacey had no idea how alluring she looked at the
moment.
Making her way to the closet, she pulled out his white shirt and put it on.
Afterward, she leaned lazily against the closet. "Since we're family, I'll give you a discount. I'll only
charge you four hundred thousand dollars!" She stated with a smile.
