My Substitute CEO Bride

Chapter 2216

Clint was dodging back and forth, trying to avoid Nash's attacks. "This is bad!"

He suddenly realized that Nash had been caught in his barrier earlier and had mistakenly identified Clint as an enemy. As Nash continued his relentless assault, Clint could not fathom what had gone wrong. 'Why did Nash turn out like this?' he wondered to himself, but there was no time to dwell on it as the church's elders were already nearby.

Clint knew that destroying the giant tree was now impossible. It was clear that Nash was now a new obstacle in his path. Despite the dire situation, Clint made a desperate dash toward the giant tree. "No matter what, I have to destroy it!"

With determination, Clint clasped his hands together, putting everything on the line. He expanded his barrier once more, and to his relief, the barrier managed to cut through half of the giant tree.

Even the nearby buildings were cut in the process. Clint was relieved that his gamble had paid off. The tree had stopped absorbing spiritual energy, and his final, all-out attack had not been in vain. However, Clint's relief was short-lived. In a fleeting moment of distraction, he noticed Elvino was flying straight toward the now-severed tree stump without hesitation. To Clint's horror, Elvino merged with the giant tree, and new buds began to sprout from the massive roots.

Clint immediately sensed that things had taken a turn for the worse. He quickly shifted his energy, knowing he had no time to waste.

With his celestial power depleted, he channeled the demonic energy he had inherited from the Fox Queen. His goal was clear-he needed to obliterate Elvino, along with the tree, in one decisive strike. However, the remaining elders were not standing around idly either. Siete and Bastion had become more formidable and were launching their attacks.

Malvol's gaze lingered on Elvino, now fused with the tree. A flicker of doubt crossed his mind-was the Great Elder truly gone? Could this fusion be undone, or was it something else entirely?noveldrama

"This isn't right... Something feels off," Malvol muttered to himself, his thoughts racing.

The more he considered the situation, the more he realized that Zirconia had not been entirely forthcoming. There were too many unknowns-what was the true nature of the giant trees, and what exactly had happened to Elvino?

And who were these mysterious elders who had suddenly appeared?

As doubt gnawed at him, a daring plan began to take shape in Malvol's mind.

...

In the South Territory, the situation grew increasingly dire as the battle to take down the giant tree dragged on. The arrival of the formidable opponent, Kilrog, further

complicated matters.

Just as the Woodrow brothers were on the brink of defeat, a sudden glint of light streaked toward Kilrog from behind a flying sword aimed straight at his back.

Kilrog casually caught the sword, crushing it with a sneer. His eyes narrowed as he turned to face the

newcomer.

"Who are you?" he demanded, his voice dripping with disdain.

"Dante from the Sakaris Mountain Sword Sect," replied the elderly man standing before him.

Without missing a beat, Dante launched another attack, but Kilrog remained unimpressed. Though he was not as powerful as the four clones before him, he was still formidable being at the Divine Sojourn Realm-a level far beyond what the seemingly frail Dante could challenge.

However, just as Kilrog let his guard down, the shattered fragments of the flying sword began to move again, catching him off guard as they shot toward him with lethal precision. Kilrog barely managed to evade the attack, his expression darkening with suspicion

This assault was not the work of the old man. There had to be someone else, a master. Yet, he did not sense any other presence.

"Impossible," Kilrog muttered, shaking his head in disbelief. It had to be a trick, some technique the old man had used. After all, there was no true energy flow. What could it be?

Just then, a voice echoed from behind him, laced with a mixture of curiosity and mockery.

"I have to wonder... are you really one of their comrades?"
