Chapter 1618
The person Nash just dealt with was clearly from a wealthy family. The hotel manager was most likely here to trouble Nash. Ryan knew the manager and hoped that he would spare Nash out of respect for him. The manager placed his hands in front of him and lowered his head respectfully, "Mr. Calcraft, are you alright?"
Theo had told him that Nash was the Empire Hotel's most valuable customer and that they would have to risk their lives to ensure his safety, even if the one causing trouble was the Fisher family of the Northwest. Nash shook his head with a smile. "I'm fine. Please make me another steak."
"Of course, Mr. Calcraft!" The manager gave Ryan a deep look and then instructed the bodyguards, "Clean up over there, and don't disturb Mr. Calcaft's meal."
The bodyguards went to tidy up the mess at Sixten's table. Two of them carried Horace out from the wreckage.
Ryan looked at Nash with a bit of awe. They had not seen each other for over a decade... What had Nash been through during that time? The manager had treated Nash with more respect than he even showed the person in charge of the Empire Hotel in the Northwest region. Although curious about Nash's identity, Ryan did not ask anything as doing so might make him appear greedy.
"Here, Pup. Let's have a drink!" Nash lifted his glass, his face beaming with happiness. He had not attended school, so he never got the chance to experience having classmates and whatnot. His fondest childhood memories revolved around Pup, who was now sitting in front of him.
Ryan snapped out of his thoughts, raised his glass, and grinned. "Cheers."
Regardless of their status, Pup would always be his old buddy who caught fish with him in Nash's heart.
Ryan smacked his lips after taking a sip. "No wonder it costs nearly a hundred thousand. The taste is just amazing!"
Nash refilled Ryan's glass. "If you like it, have as much as you want. I've got plenty for my good buddy!"
Ryan chuckled. "In that case, I won't hold back."
At that moment, Nash's phone rang. He was about to decline the call when he saw that Maverick was the caller. He had done Skadi a big favor before, and the favor had not been repaid. "Nash, I'm really sorry. I've been stuck in meetings all day, so I missed your calls!" Maverick apologized sincerely.
"Oh, it's fine now," Nash replied briefly.
"Theo mentioned you're in the Northwest. Where are you now?"
"I'm in Bint City at the Empire Hotel. If you hurry, we can have a couple more drinks!"
"Okay, I'll be there in half an hour!" Maverick sounded excited. It was rare for Nash to visit the Northwest, so he had to extend his hospitality properly.

On the outskirts of Bint City stood luxurious villa that belonged to Sixten. He was currently lying down on the couch while his mother applied a towel to his face.
"Ouch... It hurts..." Sixten grimaced in pain, tears streaming down his face.
Seeing her son beaten until his face was unrecognizable, Heather
Haddock felt her heart twist. "I
already called your uncle. Even if et
Theo personally makes an
appearance today, he won't be able to save that kid!" she said coldly.
Just as she said that, a bodyguard dressed in black approached them and said, "Madam, the man who was with the person who beat the young sir is named Ryan Stanton. He's just a regular service staff at the Empire Hotel, and he's from the countryside.
"He started working after he dropped out of high school. He has a girlfriend who attends Bint City University."
"And what about the assailant?" Heather asked coldly.
"The assailant is likely not from here. It'll take some time to gather information about him."
"Continue with the investigation!"
"Yes, Madam!" The bodyguard moved aside to make another call.
Just then, Heather's phone on the coffee table rang. It was her younger brother.
"Howell?"
"Heather, I've gathered 3,000 members from the Furious Blade Sect. Do you want to join us?"
