Chapter 32
Read My Past is Just Prologue By Louisa Dillon Chapter 32 – Coral Breaks down.
When Janet heard what had happened in Conrad’s office through the listening device, her face was the
same passionless severity as before.
She played with the custom-made pen and sneered, “Penny wise pound foolish. That’s what these
people are.”
“Even if she heard Coral’s desperate scream, Janet would not sympathize with her.”
After all, she knew very well that if she hadn’t been prepared for this, she would have been the one to
suffer what Coral had
suffered.
Conrad’s face was ghost pale, staying in his office.
“How can there be no way to withdraw it? Since I’ve spent so much money posting it, you can tell me
how much it will cost to
remove it.”
When Conrad heard from his assistant that there was no way to withdraw it, he was still wondering if
the media would ask for a sky-high price, and he would probably have to pay a lot if that were the case.
After all, as long as things could be solved, then everything would be fine.
However, the assistant knew things were not that simple.
“Mr. Doherty, it doesn’t seem to be a matter of money. They said as long as they want to make some
change, there will be some bugs, and then the background will be totally out of control.”
Coral kept calling him, which made Conrad feel annoyed.
“It must be Janet! Dad! She’s jealous of me! She’s taking revenge on me!”
When Coral heard Conrad say that someone had interfered, she was even more desperate and even
wanted to rush to Longfellow Group to tear Janet apart.
Conrad also felt things had turned out like this was probably because of Janet.
But first, he had no evidence, and second, through this incident, he could confirm that somebody must
have been supporting Janet!
“That’s enough! What’s the rush?”
Conrad scolded Coral impatiently. He felt that his daughter had lost her temper too easily.
“Dad! Are you really going to be a lackey of Janet?”
Coral had never been reprimanded like this by Conrad before.
Tears streamed down her cheeks, and the hatred in her heart kept growing. Coral said, “Dad, I want
her to die! You’ve been managing Longfellow Group for so many years. How could she take it away so
easily?”
Hearing Coral’s words, Conrad also felt annoyed. His daughter’s words were so unpleasant, but it was
indeed him who had
started this.
Conrad had been in charge of Longfellow Group for many years, and now he would never act rashly
after what had happened.
“Okay, I see. Don’t be impulsive. I underestimated Janet this time. I didn’t expect her to be so
experienced and astute…”
Compared with Conrad, who was gnashing his teeth in the office and wanting to kill Janet, Janet
seemed to be in a very good
mood.
“What’s wrong?”
Seeing Ernest’s name on the screen, Janet already guessed why he called.
“Jill, are you all right?” Hearing her voice was as casual as usual, Ernest smiled lightly, “It sounds like
you’re in a good mood.”
“Well, it’s okay.” Janet raised her eyebrows slightly and deliberately joked with Ernest, “Aren’t you
happy? Let me know what bothers you. I could use a good laugh.”
Janet’s playful words made Ernest speechless.
Ernest didn’t believe that Janet, the little fox, didn’t know why he called her.
“Don’t tell me that you, Ms. Juliana, know nothing about the rumors on the Internet.”
It sounded like a query, but Janet knew that Ernest would never denounce her, so she pretended to be
innocent.
“What’s the matter? Is it about the scandal of some popular stars? I had never paid attention to this
kind of news.”
Ernest snorted when she heard Janet’s nonsense.Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.
However, Janet was right. What she had done did not affect Ernest at all.
Moreover, Ernest also noticed that Janet had deliberately manipulated public opinion, which helped him
win many fans on the internet.
My idol was so domineering and awesome!
“Those vulgar women are totally no match for him!”
“It’s really like a slap on her face. He was so sharp, but I loved his evil so much!”
Comments like that abound in the posts about Ernest.
“You ungrateful girl,” Ernest scolded her jokingly, “Aren’t you afraid of getting me into trouble? The
auction is about to start tomorrow. I’ll pick you up.”
Tomorrow’s auction?
Thinking of the set of T*ng tri-colored porcelain bowls and what Ernest had told her about her father’s
death, Janet’s heart sank, and the light in her eyes gradually dimmed. She sat there still in silence.
Since Conrad was so indifferent, she won’t be soft on him!
His reputation was utterly ruined, and so what?
This was just an appetizer!
“Okay!” Janet answered simply.
She was curious about what Conrad would look like when he knew it was her who bought that set of
porcelain bowls.
“However, I need you to find someone to cooperate with me. After all, that used to belong to my family,
and although I really want to get it back, I’m not a s**ker. It’s better not to spend unnecessary money.”
Although Ernest was a star in public, he often went to these auctions, so he was well aware of the
tricks in the auction.
“Okay!” Ernest immediately agreed. He would do anything as long as it was Janet’s request, “However,
you shall dress up, okay?”
“Huh?” Janet narrowed her eyes suspiciously at his words and asked, “Why? Will someone important
come?”Read My Past is Just Prologue By Louisa Dillon Chapter 31 On NovelJT.com
