Janet’s expression froze for a moment, and she instinctively became alert.

“Let go.”

She did not want to be in the same space together with him, not to mention that they were alone right

now.

Nathaniel raised his eyebrows slightly and asked her with a bit of provocation, “Why should I?”

“I don’t want to be together with you. We hate seeing each other anyway. Feel free to go with another Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

elevator, since there are so many of them,” Janet said as she reached out to press the button to close

the doors.

However, Nathaniel had predicted her reaction, so he strode inside the elevator before she closed the

door.

“I’m in a hurry, and this is the only one that has arrived,” he said indifferently.

Janet was so angry that she turned away and didn’t say anything. She thought, I’m so unlucky to bump

into Nathaniel at the

hotel!

Before the doors closed, another pair of hands suddenly grabbed the doors. Then Alfred stepped into

the elevator, panting, and said, “Mr. Webster, you walked way too fast…”

When he saw that Janet was also in the elevator, he suddenly stopped. Sensing the strange

atmosphere between Janet and Nathaniel, he immediately changed the topic and smiled awkwardly to

smooth things over.

“Oh, hey, Mrs. Webster, you are here as well… What a coincidence!”

His form of address made Janet frown even more.

With a straight face, she reminded Alfred, “Mr. Whitehead, you may call me Ms. Longfellow or Janet. I

have nothing to do with Nathaniel. So, the address ‘Mrs. Webster’ is too much for me.”

Alfred was good at observing people’s expressions, so he immediately rephrased when he saw Janet

was obviously unhappy. “Ms. Longfellow, are you here in Austin for … a business trip?” he asked

tentatively on behalf of Nathaniel.

Alfred’s intuition told him that Nathaniel was very interested in the answer.

Nathaniel stood quietly in the corner of the elevator, looking casual. In fact, when Alfred asked the

question, his eyes were

fixed on a spot.

Janet nodded and didn’t explain much, just saying, “I’m here for a meeting.”

There was much to tell about the Convention, yet she didn’t want Nathaniel to know about the

Convention at all, and she didn’t think it was necessary to tell him.

Hearing her words, Alfred smiled and said, “Ms. Longfellow, you sound so busy. May I know which

room you are staying in?”

As soon as he finished speaking, they arrived on the 16th floor. The elevator doors opened, and

without answering him, Janet simply said, “It’s me. I’ll get going.”

After saying that, she stepped out of the elevator. However, not long after, she heard footsteps coming

from behind her. Nathaniel and Alfred were not far behind her.

Nathaniel had his hands in his pockets, looking indifferent, but the red fingerprints on his face made

him look a little

embarrassed.

Janet turned around and continued to walk forward, but Nathaniel was still behind her till she reached

the door of her room.

She finally couldn’t bear it anymore and turned to glare at Nathaniel. “Have you had enough? Are you

enjoying yourself being

a stalker?”

Nathaniel’s cold face tightened. He spread his palm, and she saw a room card in his hand.

He looked at Janet and swiped the car at the door of the room next to hers.

Tinkle!

The door opened.

Janet was stunned.

She thought, seriously? I just happened to live next to him?

Nathaniel put away the room card, crossed his arms, and leaned against the door, looking at her with a

playful look in his eyes.

“If you want to see me, you can just tell me. You went through so much trouble to be on the same flight

as me to Austin, stay in the same hotel on the same floor as me, and even live next door to me. Who is

the stalker here?”

Janet was speechless at how narcissistic he was.

“Stop flattering yourself! If you ask me, I’d say that you are the stalker here! Nathaniel, for the last time,

I’m not interested in you. Got it? If so, get lost! Bye!”

Janet scolded Nathaniel angrily, opened the door, and went in, closing the door with a bang.

When she returned to the room, she leaned against the door and sighed gloomily..

With her identity, of course, the secretary would book her a top suite at a top hotel in Austin.

What she forgot was that Nathaniel was the president of the Webster Group, and of course, he would

be living in a top suite as

well.

She thought, sure enough, one can always bump into one’s enemy easily.

I’m starting to regret coming to Austin.

Outside the door, Nathaniel looked at the tightly closed door in front of him. He curled up the corners of

his lips imperceptibly and then turned around to enter his room next to hers.
