Chapter 165 A Romantic Place

“Your feet hurt probably because your shoes are not your size.”

Nathaniel said coldly, looking at Alfred behind him.

“Ms. Lambert, what is your size? I’ll buy you a pair of shoes right now,” Alfred said immediately. NôvelDrama.Org owns this.

Anastasia showed a displeased expression when she heard it, but she only dared to let Alfred see it,

not Nathaniel

She leaned to Nathaniel. “Nathaniel… My feet hurt. Can you carry me for a while?” she asked, feeling

wronged.

*Change into a new pair of shoes and have a good rest.” Nathaniel remained unmoved.

After that, he gave Alfred a look.

Alfred quickly pulled Anastasia away and said, “Ms. Lambert, you should buy a new pair of shoes. Let’s

go.”

After saying that, Alfred stopped a taxi that just happened to pass by, opened the car door, and stuffed

Anastasia in. Then he followed her

into the taxi.

Alas… Alfred was doing his best to help Nathaniel.

Nathaniel stood by his car, listening to the conversation between Nigel and Janet.

*Jill, to celebrate your great victory today, I will treat you to a big meal tonight. How about it?” Nigel put

his hands in his pockets and

leaned against his flashy red sports car.

For the New–Media Industry Convention, Nigel wore a formal suit, he did not seem old–fashioned.

Instead, he looked dashing.

Janet smiled and said, “Okay, I have been in Austin for a few days but have not had a good time with

you.”

“Then, get in the car.”

The comers of Nigel’s lips curled up, and he turned around to open the car door, making an inviting

gesture to Janet.

Janet sat in the passenger seat, but she glanced at Nathaniel.

She caught Nathaniel’s fleeting expression.

He seemed to be… angry?

She couldn’t understand why Nathaniel had become so petty that he even got mad about being

defeated.

How petty!

“Start the car.” Janet turned to look at Nigel.

“Okay, sit tight. Your exclusive driver is officially online!”

Nigel put his hands on the steering wheel and started the car in a good mood.

Nathaniel did not catch up until the car drove far away.

Nigel, who had been looking in the rearview mirror, felt strange. How could Nathaniel suddenly be so

calm?

Janet also found it strange.

Could it be that Nathaniel had finally accepted what she had said and decided to keep a distance from

her?

Nigel noticed her absent–mindedness and used a joke to draw her attention back.

“Tsk, it seems I am still not charming enough. Otherwise, why would you ignore your handsome

exclusive driver?”

Hearing that. Janet returned to her sensas.

“Sorry, I was just thinking about something.”

“En? You will never need to apologize to me.” Nigel only wanted to tell her that she was the most

special person to him.

He had other plans when he asked her out for dinner.

He was waiting for an opportunity. He knew it was not the best time yet, but he still wanted to let her

know his feelings for her sooner.

He would make tonight a foreshadowing.

He wanted to see what kind of reaction she would have.

About ten minutes later, the car stopped in the underground parking lot of the tallest building in the city

center.

“There is a popular restaurant on the top floor here. It has good reviews, so I want to take you there to

have a try.” Nigel said as he parked

the car.

Janet had heard of the restaurant, but… she remembered it was a romantic place, and it carried a

special meaning.

Nigel brought her here…

Janet smiled in relief. It was just a restaurant, so it was probably just a coincidence.

What she didn’t know was that Nigel noticed the subtle changes in her expression.
