Arthur looked at the door as if it was not just an ordinary door but a door that separated him from Lucia’s heart forever.

“Oh, I see,” Theodore rolled his eyes quizzically and smiled. “Mommy is awesome. The company can’t work without her. Well, as a good boy, I’ll wait for mommy to finish her work.”

His son’s being so understanding made Arthur feel touched. He held his son tightly in his arms, with mixed emotions in his eyes.

“Daddy, you hurt me.” Not knowing why Arthur suddenly hugged him so tightly, Theodore felt uncomfortable in his arms and complained.

“Baby, I’m sorry. I just miss you so much,” Arthur said to Theodore with a smile after loosening his grip.

“I miss daddy too,” Theodore said sweetly and kissed Arthur’s cheek. He looked so adorable that Arthur couldn’t help but hold him again.

Standing aside and watching the reunion of the father and son, Sophie felt both comforted and bitter. As a mother, she might be the only one who could understand the mixed emotions in her son’s eyes. Alas, how did the discord creep into the relationship between Arthur and Lucia?
