My Mommy Is A CEO

Chapter 1150 Ask for a Snub

Nia really dared not speak up anymore, and Casper continued to speak,

“Do you know what impulse is? Nia, you’re an experienced person. Why are you still so foolish and don’t understand the principle of not speaking recklessly? To tell you the truth, I’m not afraid of you telling Lucia who I really am. Have you ever thought about what Lucia would do to all of us based on our past actions? Especially for you, Nia. So, keep your mouth shut and as Kevin said, this is your trump card!”

Kevin glanced at Nia, whose face was covered in a dark cloud, and turned to Casper.

“In the end, we are all just looking out for ourselves. If it weren’t for… we wouldn’t have established our own foothold. Although we may be at odds with you now, in the end, we will all be facing the same enemies: Lucia and Arthur.”

“If you can recognize this, it means you haven’t been infected by Nia’s stupidity,” Casper sneered.

“What did you say?!” Nia became excited again when she heard this, and this time Kevin simply pulled her behind him.

“Mr. Wood, how about we make a gentleman’s agreement? Let’s pause our attacks on each other and give ourselves a chance to catch our breath. We’re fighting tooth and nail against each other while our common enemy remains unscathed. Isn’t that foolish?” Kevin made a mental note of what Nia’s friend had just said, hoping to use it as an opportunity to gauge Casper’s stance.

Casper stood upright, silently observing Kevin without making any declaration. However, Nia, who stood behind Kevin, continuously pinched his waist. Peaceful coexistence with Casper? She disagreed! She had almost died at his hands several times, and Nia vowed to dismember Casper into pieces.

Kevin also looked back at Casper without any fear or hesitation in his eyes, even though Nia had already pinched him hard.

“The person behind you doesn’t seem to agree,” Casper said with a smirk, chuckling.

“I certainly disagree!”

Casper’s words stirred Nia, who quickly stepped out from behind Kevin and glared at him, saying, “Kevin, don’t try to reconcile with someone like this. You may have good intentions, but he might be thinking of how to harm you behind your back!”

Kevin frowned, once again defeated by Nia’s impulsiveness. Can’t she see that he was just procrastinating?!

Casper shrugged his shoulders at Kevin, as if to say “see for yourself.”

Kevin let out a barely audible sigh and said to Casper,

“Mr. Wood, please consider my words carefully. Pointing the finger at us will only delay your ultimate plan. You should know that dealing with us is not so easy.”

Since the negotiation had broken down, he didn’t need to put on a good face anymore.

Don’t keep a dog that bites people.

“Whether it’s easy or not is up to me, as I said before. Be careful in the future and don’t give me any chance to catch you,” Casper said impatiently. After speaking, he walked towards Kevin. Nia quickly dodged to Kevin’s side as if she was on fire, avoiding Casper. This action amused Casper.

“What are you afraid of? I could eat you?” Casper sneered as he crossed over Kevin, but just as he reached his back, he suddenly stopped and lowered his voice to ask,

“Kevin, did you tell Lucia about my identity?”

Kevin stiffened for a moment and after a three-second pause, he gave an ambiguous answer, “I’m not that stupid.”

However, when he turned around, he realized that Casper had already walked far away without any response.

Kevin couldn’t help but admit that he felt relieved. If Casper had truly come to that realization, both he and Nia would be doomed without a doubt!

“Why are you so afraid of what he might do?!” As soon as Casper left, Nia immediately reverted back to her aggressive demeanor.

“Am I afraid of him?” Kevin glanced at Nia, implying her timid behavior just now.

“Are you bullying me now too?” Nia felt extremely wronged.

“I didn’t mean it that way,” Kevin said with extreme helplessness. “You should really control your emotions and actions. If Casper finds out that we’ve leaked his identity, Nia, have you considered the consequences for us? I have, and I’m certain that even if it means going down together, he will drag us to our deaths!”

After she listened to Kevin’s words, Nia’s face turned slightly pale. She hesitated and reached out to grab Kevin’s sleeve, carefully asking,

“Did you say he found out?”

Kevin let out a long sigh. Casper was so cunning that he probably already figured out something from the sentence Kevin had just said to Nia. And with his personality of rather killing a thousand than letting one go, it was worrying.

“In the future, wherever you go, you must bring twice as many bodyguards as you have now.”

Nia looked at Kevin’s tightly furrowed brows and she knew she was scared this time.

Leaving the corner behind, Casper walked aimlessly forward without even responding to people greeting him along the way.ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

The words spoken by Kevin and Nia lingered in his mind. If Lucia and Arthur were protecting them because of “Jacob,” did that mean his identity had been exposed? But if that was the case, why hadn’t Lucia and Arthur taken any action? It didn’t seem like their style.

But one thing he can be sure of was that Nia and Kevin were absolutely indispensable!

Just as Casper was lost in thought, he suddenly felt a burning gaze upon him. It was an instinctual feeling and he looked towards the direction of the gaze without hesitation. The crowd at the other end of the banquet hall seemed to have disappeared, leaving only that stunning yet cold face in his sight.

Interesting.

Casper noticed that Lucia was staring at him, and Arthur was not with her at the moment. Like a magnet being drawn, Casper couldn’t resist taking steps towards her. He knew he wouldn’t get any good reaction from her, but he was powerless against Lucia’s charm.

“Ms. Webb, why are you alone? Where is Mr. Davies?” Casper approached Lucia and noticed that she was in a secluded location. He asked her with a sense of relief in his heart.

Lucia didn’t speak but just stared at Casper with her sparkling eyes, which were now covered with a layer of mist that made it difficult to discern her emotions.

Casper curled his lips and revealed a self-proclaimed charming smile, then said,

“Why are you looking at me like that? Did you suddenly realize that I am quite charming?”
