Chapter 64 I’m Busy

Suddenly, dense vines stretched out from the gorgeous

flowers, rushing towards Athena ferociously.

Vines wrapped around her.

Then thorns sprang up, piercing her skin.

She felt pain, calling Byron’s name.

At this time, Byron’s tall and straight figure appeared in front of her.

She shouted for help desperately.

Byron finally turned around, whose handsome face showed

alienation and indifference. Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

“Help…” Athena yelled at the top of her voice.

But he turned his head back indifferently and gradually faded

away.

Athena couldn’t move her limbs in severe pain.

She wanted to chase him.

In the next second, there came a loud noise from behind.

She looked back in surprise to see Arlan turned to be the

devil incarnate, grabbing a crying baby covered in blood and smashing it against the car window.

Athena was in a panic.

Then she looked in the direction Byron left.

There was no more his figure, and what she could see was the

locked car door and the raging fire!

Athena woke with a start in despair.

She looked at the unfamiliar ceiling, sweating.

With the despair in the nightmare remaining in her mind, she

burst into tears.

Athena was annoyed with herself.

Why hadn’t she woken up to the reality?

Why did she still cherish hope for Byron in her dream?

Why did she still expect his help?

“Athena?”

Logan’s voice came from outside the door.

Athena calmed down and wiped away her tears, responding, “What’s wrong?”

“Are you crying?” Logan asked in a low voice.

“No… I just had a nightmare. Go to sleep! We have to get up early tomorrow morning,” She replied.

“Okay…” Logan scratched at his messy hair.

He did hear her crying, seemingly calling someone’s name.

But her voice was so soft that he couldn’t hear her clearly.

Before leaving, Logan said worriedly, “Athena, tell me if you need any help!”

He wanted to respect her privacy, or he would have directly hacked her phone.

This was the price of growing up.

An adult had to think over it before taking action.

“I see!” Athena elongated her voice.

Logan went back to his room unwillingly.

After he left, Athena took a few deep breaths.

She finally calmed down a bit from the emotions invited by the nightmare.

Recently, she had always felt controlled by emotions. Was that because of her pregnancy?

“I need to see a psychiatrist after returning to Greeli City,” she thought.

Depression couldn’t be allowed to happen during pregnancy.

Meanwhile, in Greeli City.

“Mr. Crawford, this is Madam Lewis’s case.”

With a sullen face, Byron took it over.

Romy Lewis, Athena’s Grandma, passed away in the early

morning of April 24th.

The cause of death was multiple system organ failure.

Athena had confirmed it with her signature below.

She was good at handwriting.

Byron had heard from her before that her Grandpa had

taught her calligraphy since she was a child.

However, the signature here was illegibly scrawled.

Was she shaking then?

Or was she crying?

Byron remembered that when he first ran into Athena in the hospital corridor, she was sitting there,

crying pitifully and helplessly.

At that time, it was just because Romy was ill.

She must be extremely sorrowful when Romy passed away.

Byron frowned, feeling heartbroken.

“24th…” He murmured while immediately taking out his phone and flipping through the chatting records

with Athena.

At fifteen past one a.m. on April 24th, Athena had sent him a message via WhatsApp.

[Are you busy? Can I call you?]

He replied: [Don’t call me. I’m busy.]
