Liliane could not help looking at her father on the surveillance camera screen in shock when she heard

what Leah said. She pleaded, “Mom, he’s my father.”

“Liliane, he stopped being my husband the moment he betrayed me.” Leah turned off the tablet’s

surveillance screen and seriously told Liliane, “The men who betray me are like bills stained with sh t.

You can still use it, but it’s disgusting! If it weren’t for your parents‘ divorce affecting your marriage, I

would’ve stopped tolerating it long ago.”

Liliane knew her mother was ruthless but did not expect her mother to want to kill her own father.

“Mom, if you don’t want to see Dad, you can divorce him…”

Leah interrupted Liliane and said coldly, “Liliane, believe it or not, if I divorce him, with his character,

he’ll have an illegitimate child within a year, and that child will be splitting assets with you! Do you want

a half–sibling with the same father but a different mother?”

Liliane shook her head subconsciously.

“So, never be soft on your enemies, Liliane.” Leah reached out and held her daughter’s hand, gently

brushing her hair away from her forehead. “Liliane, if it weren’t for that illegitimate daughter Esther, our

family would still be as happy as before.”

Liliane could not help but think of Esther’s blood type. She remembered that Esther’s blood type was

O, while her father’s blood type was B.

“Mom, do you know what blood type the woman named Faye has?” asked Liliane.

Leah’s tone was unfriendly. “Why do you ask?”

“Mom, Esther is type O, and my dad is type B. Do you think Esther might not be his daughter…” Liliane

thought of the past few years during which her father and Esther interacted – they were not close like

regular father and daughter.

She said, “I remember you investigated Faye’s information back then. Can you show me?”

Leah had always loved her daughter and knew that Liliane could not accept anything happening to her

father. For her, Billy was a scum who had betrayed her, but for Liliane, the man was her father. ”

Hold on.”

Leah walked to the safe, entered the password, and opened it. She took out a folder from the bottom of Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

the safe. The contents of the folder were information about Faye. Liliane saw Faye’s blood type at a

glance.

“Faye Quill, blood type AB,” Liliane said in shock, hesitantly asking. “Mom, according to the principles

of genetic inheritance, people with blood types AB and B cannot have children with blood type O,

right?”

Leah took the information from Liliane and looked at it. Faye’s blood type was indeed AB, while

Billy’s blood type was B.

“Perhaps Esther is the child of Faye and another man.”

Leah became even angrier at the thought of it. She had never imagined that Billy would be such a

foolishly infatuated man.

“Mom, we’ll know if Esther is my father’s daughter by doing a DNA paternity test. Did you never do a

DNA paternity test back then?” Liliane asked, still confused.

“No,” replied Leah.

Back then, she had been so furious when Billy brought back a daughter that she went straight to her

mother’s home. Later, the father of her supposed husband spoke up, saying that they would raise.

Esther and never allow her to appear in front of Leah. After weighing everything, Leah had agreed to

continue living with Billy.

“Mom, give my father a chance, please?” Liliane did not want her mother to kill her own father. “If the

DNA test shows that he’s not Esther’s biological father, then it means he did not betray you…”

Leah was firm in her attitude. “Liliane, both physical and emotional betrayals are betrayals.”

“Mom, I know, but I want to know the answer. What if my father never had another woman besides.

you?” Liliane pleaded, “Regardless of your decision, please wait until we do the DNA paternity test,

okay?”

Faced with her daughter’s plea, Leah caved.
