Chapter 48: CHAP 48 : DISTANCE
"Thank you" he states as he takes a sip of it, satisfied of the perfection of its taste. "Then I'll be
excusing my-". "Wait" he interfered. "I'll be taking a bit of your time, Miss Fae" he said standing up,
taking a quarter of the papers and placing it on her arms.
"Help me sort out these papers, then you may go" he exclaims before sitting back down. Confused, she
didn't utter a word but instead followed his orders. Sitting on the couch and doing her work.
-
"Finally..." Liam yawned, stretching as he leaves his chair, it's already past 7. 'She fell asleep? She's
supposed to be working' he thought, walking towards her and sitting on the couch beside her.
Grabbing the piles of paper, he saw it all considered done. "Huh... She's good at this" he muttered,
putting the papers back down and staring at her sleeping face.
Reaching for her hair, he suddenly felt a hand holding his, stopping him from what he is about to do. He
looked down, seeing her wide awake, confused of what's happening.
"It's... not what you think" he quickly stood up, looking elsewhere, his hand covering his mouth. She
blinked, processing of what's going on. "Knock knock" the duo snapped from their moment and looked
at the opening door.
"Sir Liam, the documents are done" Evalyn states, entering as she puts the papers on her boss' desk.
"Alright, you may go. Miss Fae, sorry for taking your time" he exclaims, going back to his chair.
"Then we shall excuse ourselves" Fae bows her head as she and her friend leave the office. "Let's go,
Jax said he's picking us up" Evalyn says, linking arms with her friend, tired of work.
"Alright" Fae answers, the duo going to the parking lot.
-
"You're here" Jax states, opening the car door for the girls to enter. "What brings you here, picking us
up and all" Evalyn asks, sitting after her friend and closing the door afterwards.
"We have some things to discuss. I'll tell you on the way"

"You're back" Fleur happily greets, hugging Fae with joy. "Not giving me a hug?" Evalyn glares, only to
be ignored. "Let's eat dinner already" she pouts, Fae patting her head. Content © NôvelDrama.Org.
"Don't ignore me brat" Evalyn playfully flicks her forehead. "Hey!" she whines. "I'll pass for today" Fae
suddenly blurts out, the duo staring at her. "If you'll excuse me" she parts away gently from the kiddo,
then going upstairs to her room.
-
Sitting down on the chair facing her desk, she took out her laptop. Opening it, she went straight to
where she kept track of all the people she put the trackers on.
She glanced at the blinking red dot on her laptop. Sneakily placing the tracker on Liam's sleeves was
definitely worth it. It then started moving fast, it seems he's on a car.
Minutes later, she saw the dot stop at a certain area. "It's... a mansion" she muttered, scrolling down
her phone. "If he has the bracelet... he must have the tattoo somewhere... but where..." she sighed.
Then suddenly it clicked on her mind. Of all the Sweet Hell's minions that she has captured, the tattoo's
place were on their backs.
She closed her phone. 'His back...' she thought, exiting the site on her laptop and shutting it off.
"Knock knock" the door rang. She looked left to see Jax entering the room. "May I have a chat with
you??" he smiles, her staring at him as he closes the door behind him and goes on to sit on her bed.
"About what we talked on the car, you understand don't you?" he starts. "Yes sir" she answers. "If you
ever feel like more and more people are coming for you, just tell me and we'll standstill your mission for
a bit" he exclaims.
'We'll be lessening your interactions, Fae. But you will still continue doing your missions' she
remembered his words. "Did my father tell you these?" she asked, him nodding in response.
"Well I shouldn't bother you any longer. By the way... How's your injury?" he asks, pointing to his back.
"It's alright now sir, I can move freely now" she states. "Alright. Then good night, Fae" he pats her head.
"Likewise sir" she waves goodbye as he leaves her room.
