Mr. You, Please Dote On Me

Chapter 134: Grandpa Was Taken Away

You Ze sat alone on the sofa for a long time and didn’t see Shiyao walk out of Xiao Qing’s room even when Duoduo began to doze.

“What are you doing?”

You Ze knocked at the door. Xiao Qing just rolled her eyes, and went on applying the ointment for Shiyao who laid face down on the bed after taking a shower.

Shiyao checked her phone, which showed the time near 10:30 pm. You Ze kept knocking, and Shiyao shouted in a cold voice,

“Go back, I’ll sleep with my master tonight.”

Xiao Qing laughed covering her mouth. Shiyao lay motionless on the bed, even unwilling to look up.

The lights in the room shut off before You Ze was about to say more. He touched his nose awkwardly, put Duoduo that was wagging its tail drowsily back into its bed, and then returned to the bedroom alone.

Suddenly, two familiar pieces of clothes in the trash can at the door caught his eyes. Those were the clothes he took off this morning. Instead of putting them away, Shiyao simply threw them away.

The orange light spread all over the huge bedroom. The warm lighting looked particularly cold now.

You Ze compressed his lips, recalling the details of yesterday. What happened after he drank with Zhong Yi? Why did Shiyao become so distant?

Zhong Yi’s phone kept ringing. But Xu Youyou stood in front of him with arms akimbo, and stopped him from answering the call.

“Honey, my phone is ringing. Can you check who is calling?”

Xu Youyou cast a glance at the phone and turned it off.

“Nobody.”

Zhong Yi knelt on the bed with a long face, holding the pillow miserably.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

You Ze called back again, only to find the phone was turned off.

The heavy raindrops hit the window. Deafening thunder rumbled on, and the sound of the pouring rain was scary. You Ze got up, closed the window, and quietly drew the curtain.

As usual, he showered, changed into clean clothes, and then lay in bed with his eyes closed. No one was beside him and he felt empty and cold.

The sound of the rain gradually died out. You Ze didn’t know if he had ever fallen asleep. Dawn broke when he opened his eyes again.

Wrapped up in a thick coat, Shiyao was in a mad rush to drive away.

Xiao Qing tried every possible way to persuade her, but in vain.

Shiyao silently looked back at You Ze who stood in the doorway wearing a gray sweater and slippers. The tip of her nose suddenly turned red.

“Grandpa was taken away.”

Shiyao sobbed. Without saying a word, You Ze immediately changed his clothes and took her to the Qin’s house.

Xiao Qing lowered her head with a sigh, holding the milk for Shiyao.

Shiyao grasped her phone, her arms trembling. ‘No one can hurt my family,’ she looked out at the street after an upsurge of grievance. The rain dropped off the leaves, and Shiyao couldn’t help sneezing. You Ze quickly rolled up the window.

Early in the morning, Shiyao was fast asleep when there was a call from the hospital. It took her nearly one minute to wake up.

“When did it happen?”

“Last night.”

Grandpa was taken home by Qin Shaofeng last night, but the hospital didn’t inform her until this morning. Shiyao frowned, disgusted with Qin Shaofeng.

The street was empty in the morning, and the quietness was refreshing. For a moment You Ze was wondering whether it would be a good idea to get out of his car to wander along the roadside.

A few seconds later, You Ze focused back on the road ahead and floored the gas pedal.

It was not the time for romance. He concentrated on speeding forward. Shiyao leaned back, feeling slightly sick.

Without eating in the morning, she immediately squatted on the roadside to retch after getting off. As the bruise on her back hadn’t healed, she could not bend down too much. You Ze frowned as he watched her awkward posture.

“Drink some water.”

There was a bottle of mineral water in the car. Shiyao wiped her mouth, tears still hanging in her eyelashes.

After a few gulps, she felt much better. You Ze quickly took the bottle from her hand and threw it back into the car.

“Not too much.”

Shiyao paused, murmuring to herself.

“If only I had eaten something before leaving. I wouldn’t have been in such a mess.”

The Qins had just got up. Shiyao ignored them and went directly to grandpa’s room.

In order to keep an eye on old Qin, the butler spent the night in a cot next to him.

Shiyao came up to her grandpa quietly and put her hand into his.

“Grandpa,”

His eyelids fluttered but did not open. Listening to grandpa’s steady breath, Shiyao couldn’t help crying.

The butler heard the noise and sat up, and then closed his eyes as he saw You Ze slightly shake his head by the bed.

Shiyao turned to wipe her eyes quickly and smiled at the butler.

The butler looked at You Ze and then at Shiyao. He hesitated but said nothing.

She sat there listening to the butler’s recollections of the two days for more than half an hour.

As the noise grew louder outside, You Ze strode to the window and opened the curtains abruptly.

The bright sunshine that slowly filtered through the window warmed the room. Shiyao looked out of the window and saw the Qins were up.

“Why hasn’t anyone brought breakfast here yet?”

Asked Shiyao, frowning. She had been here so long, and no one even came to see her grandpa.

“I’ll go.”

The butler hurried out of the room with his head down.

Shiyao suddenly stood up, clenching her fists. Her small face was taut.

You Ze came up to her and rubbed her brow with his cool finger.

“One more wrinkle and you’ll be an old woman.”

Shiyao stood still, her eyes always on old Qin.

“Do you have any idea?”

Upon arrival, she had noticed reporters lurking around. There was heavy rain last night. How dedicated they were!

You Ze snickered and whispered in her ear.

“Certainly. Are you going to leave me alone tonight?”

Shiyao gave him a fierce look and pushed him far away.

“I’m not kidding.”

“Neither am I.” You Ze smirked and stepped forward again. He liked the way Shiyao smelled.

Shiyao bit her lip and said nothing. How could You Ze be so shameless and flirt with her when she had a headache due to anxiety?

The butler quickly came in with breakfast, for You Ze and Shiyao as well as for old Qin.

Behind him was Qin Shaofeng, who just got up and knew about Shiyao’s visit.

He greeted You Ze with a big smile. After all, a soured relationship was not good for their further contact.
