Mr. You, Please Dote On Me

Chapter 123: He Is Paralyzed!

After listening to You Ze’s description, Zhong Yi fell silent.

“I’m to blame… I shouldn’t have let her go out alone.”

You Ze laughed in a low voice, “It has nothing to do with you, but you have to keep an eye on him for me.”

“OK, I get it.” Zhong Yi answered with certainty.

Having hung up the phone, You Ze was lost in a trance for a while. He had no idea what on earth Xing Shenzhi intended to do. ‘Since he had taken away Shiyao, why didn’t he make use of Shiyao to threaten me? Why did he keep her safe and send her back? Well, actually he has saved Shiyao.’

You Ze raised the corners of his mouth thoughtfully. Xing Shenzhi was definitely not a man with a kind heart.

Shiyao walked downstairs while rubbing her sleepy eyes, and the servants were preparing breakfast.

“Morning, dopey little girl.”

Xiao Qing had just come back after finishing her morning exercise, and her words made Shiyao blush.

Shiyao had said many times that she would learn Kung Fu from Xiao Qing, but she got up late every day.

Shiyao cast a glance at You Ze with resent. ‘Were it not for the fact that he tortured me every day, I would never be so lazy!’

“Why did you get up so early? I want you to sleep more. Don’t you feel tired?”

Putting down the newspaper, You Ze pulled Shiyao over considerately.

Shiyao didn’t appreciate the kindness, but pinched You Ze violently instead.

Really! Flirting in front of so many people made her feel really ashamed!

You Ze looked totally innocent, not knowing what Shiyao was worried about. Xiao Qing was ready to eat without any expression while Shiyao forced a smile with embarrassment.

“Ladies are troublesome…”, You Ze complained in the heart.

“Don’t you have to go to the company?”

Shiyao found the fried egg really yummy and then gave You Ze a kick. You Ze should have set off earlier according to his routine.

“The business is suspended, and I’ll stay with you at home.”

Shiyao was speechless. He remembered she was off duty today actually.

“Suspended? Is it serious?”

Shiyao looked at You Ze with anxiety. Such a big group should suspend all of its operation. It was all because of her. The more Shiyao thought, the sadder she was. She was about to cry.

Xiao Qing noticed Shiyao was about to cry while You Ze still showed a gloating look.

Er… Such two persons! Really troublesome!

“Stop crying and eat. It’s not that serious.” Xiao Qing explained.

“If UK is closed down, then the whole A City, and the surrounding cities would suffer as well. Don’t listen to his nonsense. He said that on purpose.”

“Eh? On purpose?”

Shiyao looked at You Ze with her teary eyes, confused.

You Ze shrugged his shoulders indifferently and didn’t answer Shiyao’s question, but filled a bowl of porridge for her.

“Good girl. Eat more. You worked so hard yesterday.”

Shiyao lowered her head at once and took a few mouthfuls of the dishes. Damn it! You Ze mentioned it again…

Rolling her eyes unhappily, Xiao Qing finished her breakfast quickly and left the two.

“You two go on. I’m fed up with you.”

Shiyao flushed and didn’t dare to raise her head to look at Xiao Qing. She could only kick You Ze hard under the table.

You Ze continued his breakfast calmly without caring about Shiyao’s reaction.

“Hey! Can you stop being shameless…”

Shiyao’s cheeks were puffed out with her mouth full of bread. She poked You Ze on the arm with chopsticks.

“It is my home. I can say whatever I want to.” You Ze retorted shamelessly.Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.

“So naive!” Shiyao simply turned away from him. So embarrassing!

“Hello, are you Miss Shi?”

“Yes, I’m.”

Shiyao had just finished her breakfast, and was playing balls with Duoduo.

“What? OK! I’ll come at once!”

Having rubbed Duoduo’s head apologetically, Shiyao handed Duoduo to a servant. Then she rushed to her bedroom to change her clothes.

“What’s up? Why are you so anxious?” You Ze hugged Shiyao from behind with a mischievous smile on his face. It was rare to rest at home, so You Ze wanted to spend more time with her. Shiyao got so anxious that she had no time to think about other things. She found some clothes at random, and threw them to You Ze.

“Grandpa wakes up!”

“What?” You Ze stood in a daze with clothes in his hands. The smile on his face disappeared gradually, and he looked serious at once.

“Don’t worry. I’ll go with you.”

Shiyao put on her clothes in a hurry and the two rushed to the hospital at once.

Many people crowded outside the ward. Overwhelmed by anxiety, Shiyao rushed over. Old Qin was being examined.

“How is it going? Where is grandpa?”

The members of the Qin’s were all there, but no one responded to Shiyao. Only Qin Yu called “sister” in a clear voice.

“How is grandpa?”

“We don’t know yet. He just woke up this morning, and is now examined. Don’t worry, sister. Grandpa will be fine.”

Qin Yu smiled at Shiyao to comfort her. The second Mrs. Qin dragged Qin Yu behind her impatiently. Qin Yu, feeling embarrassed, nodded at Shiyao. Shiyao didn’t care about the action of the second Mrs. Qin since grandpa was the only one concerning her now.

Half an hour later, the medics walked out. Seeing so many people around the door, they really got shocked.

“Doctor, how is my grandpa!” Shiyao was the first to rush up and ask.

Taking off the mask, the doctor looked at Shiyao and sighed.

“The patient is out of danger, but…”

“But what?” Shiyao pulled the doctor’s arm anxiously, and she had a presentiment.

“But the patient is paralyzed because of a stroke, and I’m afraid that he might have to stay in bed all the time. There will be many sequelae. He can’t speak or move, and you have to be prepared emotionally. He is getting old, and needs to be taken care of all the time. He still can live a comfortable life for his remaining years if he gets a good recuperation.”

Paralyzed!

People present all got frightened by it, and tears rolled down Qin Yu’s cheeks immediately. Seeing Qin Yu was crying, the illegitimate sons began to wail as well.

“Shut up! Stop crying!”

Shiyao yelled with a frown, “Grandpa is OK! If you want to cry, just get out!”

The doctor shook his head helplessly, “The patient can leave hospital and recuperate at home after some time. There are so many of you, and you should discuss and decide on a plan as soon as possible.”

The crowd got silent, and only Shiyao gritted her teeth in hatred.

The crowd gathered around the bed. Old Qin still wore the oxygen tube, and his once deep eyes became dull now. Whatever Shiyao said, he made no response.

Shiyao, holding back her tears, held the big palm of grandpa. She couldn’t believe this dying old man before her was her once most respected grandpa. Old Qin had been awe-inspiring all his life, but who could have imagined that he would end up like this? Shiyao’s heart got painful. She huddled beside the bed with her thin body shaking. She tried her best not to make a sound.

You Ze stood beside Shiyao all through with a gloomy face, and didn’t make any comment. Things just went worse.
