Mr. Powell Is Hunting for His Wife

Chapter 29: Wait and See

Chapter 29: Wait and See

Diana’s hands that were replying to the email paused for a second. Her lips slightly twitched.

“Be careful of being discovered by your father. How come the network security team of the Powell Group cannot even discover you, what the hell…”

Austin snorted, “The programmers of the Powell Group are much worse than me. By the way, Mom, if you’re trying to get back at that bad woman, why do you help Dad facilitate the cooperation with Mr. and Mrs. Hill? It will be a problem for you if the Powell Group cooperates with the world’s largest clothing brand.”

“How do you know I want to get back at Mirabelle!” Diana was having a guilty conscience. Even if Austin was really smart, he would not be able to guess what she was thinking, right!

Austin glanced at his mother and shook his head like an adult, “Mom, you previously wrote the plan on the computer and the password you set is too simple. I can directly guess it without even having to do password cracking.”

Diana was speechless.

Austin had a cool personality but when he spoke, he could piss her off. Whose genetic heritage was he having!

“There are some parts of that plan that don’t make sense. I’ve also modified it for Mom, remember to follow the plan I modified for you when the time comes.”

Diana pretended to be fierce and looked at her precious son with her widened eyes, “Next time, don’t look at Mom’s computer without my permission! Especially the encrypted files!”

Austin’s cute face curled into a smile.

That was not possible. In order to protect his mother, he had to keep an eye on his father and that bad woman.

Diana’s phone vibrated.

She picked up her phone, unlocked it and opened WeChat.

“For the private dinner on Saturday, remember to wear a gown, don’t wear a suit.”

After a second.

“Do you have a gown?”

Diana laughed in anger.

As an international first-class perfumer, she had participated in more than 300 fashion shows and various celebrity dinners.

How would she not know what to wear for a private dinner!

Was the man by the name of Brooklyn thinking that she did not know anything other than her job.

Diana was so angry that her fingers quickly tapped her phone and replied, “Mr. Powell, don’t worry, I won’t put you in disgrace!”

After replying, Diana turned the phone off and threw it to the side.

“Mom, was it Dad who just sent you a message in WeChat?” Austin asked without raising his head.

“How do you know this?”

Could it be that her precious son was not only a genius but also a prophet.

Austin shrugged his shoulders and replied, “The only person who can make you so angry is no one else buy my dad.”

In Brooklyn’s private villa.

The moonlight shone through the floor-to-ceiling glass window into the house and fell on the man lying on the sofa.

Brooklyn looked at the phone in his hand and his lips slightly curled, “I’ll wait and see.”

He replied.

3 p.m. on Saturday.

Diana put on delicate makeup and her seaweed-like long hair was tied, revealing a delicate and slender neck.

“Mom won’t come back for dinner tonight. Mom has helped you two to order take-out, remember to eat.”

Diana bent her body and patiently exhorted Austin and Emily.

“I know. Mom, don’t worry, go to work.” Emily nodded understandingly.

Relieved, Diana picked up her handbag while carrying a delicate satchel bag and left after opening the door.

Just as she stepped out of the apartment elevator, she saw Harper waiting outside.

“Harper, why are you here?” Diana was a bit puzzled. She and Brooklyn had agreed to meet at 5 p.m. at the VIP Box Room 5 in TS Restaurant, how come Harper came to her apartment?

Harper helped Diana to open the door and glanced at the high heels worn by Diana, saying with a smile, “Mr. Powell has said that Ms. Miller must be wearing high heels today and won’t be convenient to drive. So, he asked me to fetch you to the restaurant.”

Diana thought about it and felt it made sense.

Brooklyn was more thoughtful than she thought. It seemed that she must be more careful in the future to not let the cat out of the bag.

TS Restaurant was a well-known restaurant in Sliwell City.

Many gentry and celebrities loved the chef of this restaurant.

Due to the expensive prices and the difficulty in making reservations, even if some stars had money, there was no way to make a reservation for a private box at TS Restaurant if they had no connections.

Diana stepped on high heels and arrived at Room 5 together with Harper.

After gently opening the door, what she saw was the entire floor-to-ceiling windows and it was just nice that she could see the bustling view of the city.

At night, with the addition of neon lights, it looked even more wonderful.

“Mr. Powell, I’ve brought Ms. Miller here.”

“Where is Mr. and Mrs. Hill.” Brooklyn turned sideways and glanced at Diana for a second and quickly withdrew his gaze. He looked at Harper coldly.

“They are still on the way and are expected to be forty minutes away.”

Brooklyn nodded and signalled Harper to leave.

While they were talking, Diana had already sat on the sofa. She took out the lipstick from her handbag and looked at the mirror seriously to touch up her foundation.

Without her being self-aware, her actions looked charming and alluring.

The thick and very seductive red slowly bloomed on her sexy lips.

Brooklyn’s gaze remained on Diana’s lips and after half a second, his eyes darkened even more.

“Ms. Miller is touching up your foundation here?”

After Diana finished applying the lipsticks, using the light, her bright eyes carefully observed if there were any problems.

Very good, it was perfect and flawless!

Diana satisfactorily kept the lipstick in her bag, raised her delicate melon-seed face and curled into a smile.

“Of course, I’m not chasing you, Mr. Powell. Why should I do it secretly when I want to touch up my foundation?”

Diana smiled pleasantly and did not care about touching up her foundation in front of Brooklyn. She asked while applying the loose powder, “Mr. Powell, my outfit today doesn’t put you in disgrace, right?”

Diana was wearing a slim black gown made by an international master.

Her skin was as white as snow and with the black fabric, she looked even more attractive.

The tailored gown highlighted her delicate physique and perfect leg shape. Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.

Her long black hair was tied at the back of the head, revealing a slender neck.

Coupled with the flawless and delicate makeup on her face, her entire person looked like an international model who had just left the show.

At a glance, Brooklyn could discern that the gown that Diana was wearing was certainly not made by an ordinary designer.

She was a world-class perfumer and she could even own a gown that was personally made by a master. Why would this woman come to the Powell Group.

Diana, who was in front of him, was like a fog as he could not see her clearly and wanted to see her through.

“Acceptable.” Brooklyn’s thin lips opened and he blurted out a comment.

“Only acceptable?” Diana clicked her tongue twice, “Mr. Powell, you’re really demanding. If there is such a matter next time, I think you should just directly prepare the gown for me.”

Alban was a well-known French designer. Diana had even used a bottle of her special-made perfume to exchange for this gown with Tom!

Even Hollywood actresses also might not be able to own an Alban high-class and special-made dress!

Brooklyn, however, said it was only acceptable!

Diana twitched her lips and put the compact foundation back into her bag. She leisurely walked to Brooklyn and straightened her back.

“Mr. Powell, if you say like this, you will make me misunderstand that you’re trying to play hard to get.”
