Chapter 94

Upon opening the door and seeing Joshua, Cynthia did not bother to say hello and closed the door on him.

However, Joshua stopped the door from closing. He noticed her change in expression upon seeing him and spoke with a sharp tone, “Disappointed to see me?”

“Quite,” Cynthia replied bluntly.

“Do you like Yoel that much?” Joshua questioned.

“I like dealing with people who use their brains.”

“Cynthia!” Joshua’s tone became more aggressive.

“If you don’t have anything to say, leave.” Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org

“Is it so hard to apologize? Why didn’t you consider the consequences when you ruined Jayleen’s reputation on the Internet?”

Cynthia did not answer him.

In fact, she was willing to pay someone 150,000 USD to drag this man away.

Cynthia’s silence made Joshua uncomfortable. He would rather have her argue with him than ignore him like this.

Just then, his phone rang, and he saw it was from Moses Neal. He frowned and walked toward the balcony to answer the call.

“What do you want?”

“Just calling to chat. Can’t I call my beloved brother for no reason?” Moses replied with a teasing tone.

“If you say one more nonsense, I’ll send you to Africa,” Joshua warned coldly.

Moses chuckled. “If you do that, Grandpa will break your legs.”

“What do you want?” Joshua asked again.

They had not talked in months. Hence, Joshua did not believe that Moses was calling him for no reason.

“Grandpa asked me to check on your love life. Yoel told me you divorced Cynthia for that ex–lover of yours?” Moses said in his casual, light–hearted voice.

Joshua remained silent.

“I have to say, I support your divorce. You have such a dull personality, and Cynthia can definitely do better than you. Luckily, I have some good friends who are reliable and good at sweet–talking. If Cynthia likes them, it’ll be their lucky day,” Moses

continued.

“I did some research, and they didn’t have anyone from the past that they’re still hung up on, and they’re all very devoted to his relationships. More importantly, they’ll unconditionally believe in the person they like if they’re in a relationship.”

Moses went on and on, not afraid of offending his own brother.

Joshua tightened his grip on the phone, and his breathing became heavier. He knew Moses well enough to know that he would. follow through with what he said.

Moses was always capable of anything.

“We’re not divorced yet,” Joshua finally said in a low voice.

“Well, you’re almost there. Just a few more days left in the cooling–off period,” Moses said in his melodious voice.

Judging from his voice, Moses sounded like an outgoing young man.

“If you can immediately have someone replacing Cynthia after the divorce, she needs to have some potential suitors too.”

“Are you itching for a fight?” Joshua’s eyes grew darker.

“I’m just analyzing the situation with good intentions. It’s not that I’m against you, but nowadays, girls like men who can pamper them,” Moses said confidently.

“Take my friend, for example. When his girlfriend was bullied, he immediately rushed to her defense. When those people accused him of being unreasonable, he said he was there to support her, not to be reasonable.”

Moses continued babbling, “All the girls at the scene were moved to tears by his words.”

Joshua frowned slightly, his thoughts wandering back to the past.

Cynthia’s attitude toward him changed after he answered Jayleen’s phone call. Before that, she had been very good to him, and he had taken good care of her.

Their relationship was so good that others envied them.

“Okay. I won’t bother you anymore. I care about your love life, and if Grandpa asks, don’t say I didn’t say anything,” Moses said, sensing that he had said enough.

“Are you sure you care?” Joshua asked him.

Moses laughed. “Do you want me to fly back and give you a hug or something?”

“Get lost,” Joshua replied, not mincing his words.
