Chapter 3
Chapter 3
Xenophilius took the divorce agreement as if he had obtained lifelong wealth. He coldly announced to her, "The agreement states that you can't get anything, and you have to move out tomorrow. Except for your belongings, you are not allowed to take away anything else."
Vivianna's tears rolled down her face, and she felt all the blood in her body freeze.-
That night, she packed berthings and stayed in a hotel. She contacted her aunt in Country R, who advised her to come and live with her.
Vivianna was also tired of the people and things here, but she discovered that her passport was still at the Lambert family residence.
She had to take a cab back there. As she walked past the garden, she heard someone chatting in the bush. It was her mother-in-law, Xymeria Cabidis. She seemed to be smiling as she said, "Now, are you satisfied? Xenophilius is single now, and you don't have to feel wronged anymore."
Vivianna's heart was pounding, and she couldn't help walking closer to the bushes. She saw the girl in front of her mother-in-law. It was Jessamyn Salaway. She was nodding shyly in a contented manner. "Well, Auntie, my father has decided to invest in Lambert Enterprise."
"That's great. With your father's investment, it's like the icing on the cake for Xenophilius. You will be my favorite daughter-in-law," Xymeria said.
"Auntie, thank you," Jessamyn said.
"Why are you still addressing me as Auntie?" Xymeria asked.
"Mother..." Jessamyn called her sweetly. From NôvelDrama.Org.
"You're such a good daughter-in-law. I like you from the bottom of my heart," Xymeria said.
Vivianna's face instantly turned as white as a sheet. Her heart felt as if it was being pierced by a knife, and a surge of anger almost overwhelmed her.
Many things seemed to be linked. Jessamyn had taken her to the coffee shop! She was disorientated after two drinks. When she woke up, she was at the hotel.
All of this... was Jessamyn and her mother-in-law's plot. They wanted Xenophilius to divorce her.
It turned out that Jessamyn's father intended to invest in Lambert Enterprise. Her mother-in-law wanted to kick her out and give Jessamyn a spot.
Vivianna's resentful face suddenly appeared in front of them.
Xymeria was shocked, and so was Jessamyn.
However, looking at Vivianna's pale face, they knew that she overheard their conversation, so they showed their true colors.
"Why do you have the nerve to come back?" Xymeria looked at her in disgust.
"You... you all framed me. Why did you do this?" Vivianna questioned them in a hoarse voice with red eyes.
Xymeria looked at her without any sense of guilt. "Vivianna, don't go crazy here."
Jessamyn crossed her arms and sneered, "Vivianna, you are so stupid. Do you really think that Xenophilius likes you? You still don't see the truth. You are just a stepping stone for Xenophilius to be the president of Lambert Enterprise. He loves me."
"Vivianna, you are divorced. The Lambert family doesn't welcome you here. Get out." Xymeria drove her away.
"I'm here for my passport. Give it back to me." Vivianna glared at her vicious former mother-in-law.
Xymeria also remembered that her passport was here. She snorted and said, "Wait, I'm going to get it now. Go away as far as you can!"
Of course, she would not hold her back from going abroad. Now, the Lambert Family didn't want to see Vivianna any longer. Of course, the farther she went, the better.
As soon as Xymeria left, Jessamyn narrowed her eyes and walked up to Vivianna. "Xenophilius married you because of your father's shares in Lambert Enterprise. To be honest, you don't deserve him at all."
Vivianna looked at the woman who used to be her best friend. Now, she saw hypocrisy, disgust, and hatred in her. She raised her hand to slap her, but Jessamyn reacted quickly and grabbed her hand. "You are not qualified to hit me. Now, I'm just reclaiming my happiness and my rightful position. I'm destined to be Mrs. Lambert."
"So, you guys set up the trap last... last night? All of you... including Xenophilius?" Vivianna burst into tears, and her heart was once again pricked until it seemed to bleed.
