The wolf doctor stopped his spells as soon as Axel coughed, waking back to life.

He sighed heavily and let the now pouring rain run down his body to cool him. Even though he was in the rain, he could feel that he had been sweating due to the situation but now everything was done.

As expected, Hazel was dead and Axel was back to life. He glanced towards Axel and saw that Axel was sitting up already which was not supposed to be so.

He was supposed to slip back into unconsciousness which would then give him the chance to wipe away his memories but it did not seem like that would be happening.

“He… He is really awake!” Clarissa gasped, absolutely surprised but her eyes darted towards the body of Hazel next.

“Hazel” she gasped and ran towards Hazel.

“Hazel” his voice grew firmer and his word was in a gasp.

“Hazel!” Clarissa shook her body, hoping that she would be alive but that was not the case as her body had gone limp an unresponsive.

Axel’s body was still weak after a whole week of being dead but he pulled himself off the altar quickly and struggled to get to Hazel, his lips parted in constant groans.

“Wh… What’s wrong with her?!” He questioned as he got closer to her limp body.

He was afraid of what he would get as a reply. He was scared of his thoughts being affirmed.

“Hazel!” He grabbed her by the shoulders with his still weak arms and shook her body violently.

“Hazel! Wake up! I am here! Wake up!”

“She is dead and is not going to wake up. She sacrificed her life to bring you back to life” The wolf doctor said and burning rage ran through the body of Axel.

“Hazel, wake up” he shook his head as he continued to shake up her body, not wanting to believe that she was dead.

His pretty head could not be dead. She could not have taken such a dangerous step to save him who was already gone.

“Hazel, wake up please. I am here for you. Wake up please” his eyes were starting to get filled up instantly as he came to the quick realization that she was dead.

“Hazel! Hazel!!!” He pulled her body towards him and cried out her name loudly.

It thundered loudly as he cried out her name and the earth underneath their feet shook. Lightnings flashed through the sky and more rain poured just as more tears poured from his eyes.

The sky seemed to part as if accepting the soul of Hazel into them and Axel wanted to scream to the heavens to return his woman back to him.

He did not want a life if there would be no Hazel in it.

Axel pulled her body close to him and shut his eyes tightly as her limp body hugged him.

“Don’t go, Hazel. I love you… I… I can’t live without you so don’t go, don’t die” he shook her body but it was useless, way too useless as her body remained yet unresponsive.

Soon, his sadness turned into instant rage. He looked towards Clarissa, the wolf doctor and the three men who were there with angry eyes that made them cower in fear.

“How in the world could you all have let her do something like that?!” He yelled as his eyes turned fiery red and his strength fell on him through his anger.

His hair was wet and stuck to his body just like his clothes.

“Who the fuck brought about this idea?! Who killed her?! Who killed my woman?!” He screamed and the few others there just cowered, unable to do a thing.

“He… The wolf doctor did” one of them stuttered and without another thought, Axel let go of Hazel’s body and ran to the older man, grabbing him by the neck and pulling him up entirely.

The wolf doctor tried to use his wizard powers to get Axel off him but it was not working and that made him realize that Axel had brought new blessings from the land of the dead. Spells won’t work on him anymore and of course, potions too would not work.

“I…” The wolf doctor was dying in his tight grip but Axel only tightened his grip the more.

“You know how much she means to me! How could you?! How could you even do that?!”

“She…. she wanted it!” He managed to say.

“You should never have brought the idea!!” He screamed and threw the wolf doctor off.

“She was going…. She was going to kill herself if you didn’t come back to life” Clarissa stuttered.

“And do you think I would like to remain alive when…. When my Hazel is… When she is….” He struggled to talk about her being dead.

He did not want to take that news. She was his entire world. His entire life revolved around that single soul. She was the only one who could provide happiness to him. She just could not be gone for anything in the world.

His heart hurt badly with pains as he shook his head, bitter tears now rolling down his cheeks.

“She can’t be….. My Hazel can’t be dead. She is so…. She is so strong, she just cannot be dead” he shook his head the more, more tears rolling down and mixing with the rain that only got stronger by the seconds.

He walked back to the body of his lover and pulled her into his grip.

“You should never have done this, Hazel. You should…. You should never have!” He cried bitterly for long into her body.

But he, would never accept her dying while he would be alive. To Axel, she was the only reason why he wanted to live. If she was dead, then he had no reason to live.

He sniffed back his tears and gathered himself to look at the wolf doctor.

“Whatever you did…. You have to reverse it right now. I want you to bring her back to life and make me die once more!”

“But…”

“I would entertain no buts! This is not a request but an order!” His eyes spat fire.

“It’s impossible” the wolf doctor mumbled.

“Once this has been done, it cannot be undo” he shook his head.

“The ritual cannot be performed twice on the same persons. It’s not possible”

Anger flashed across him.

“You should never have gotten into this! You should not have done something you would never be able to reverse!”

“She wanted it, Alpha Axel. She wanted to do anything to bring you back”

“And you know what you should have done? Ugh? You should have kept that mouth quiet! ” He rasped and looked towards the two guards.

“If you do not perform the ritual to reverse these effects now, I would have your tongue cut off first and then those legs with which you walked to my woman and then I will cut your head off, bring out the brain in which you stored such unnecessary knowledge!”

“Alpha Axel, it really cannot be…”

“I want it now! I want her back to life!”
