Master of Medicine The Saintly Healer

Chapter 132

Rachel chanced a glance at Matthew in confusion. “Why aren’t you getting out?”

Just then, she heard someone knocking on her window. She turned around, only to find Tessa coming into view. Her expression immediately hardened.

Winding down the window, she glared at Tessa and questioned, “Are you looking for Matthew? He’s working right now. Find him after he gets off work.”

Frankly, Rachel disliked Tessa. She abandoned her child and her husband who went to prison in her stead. She was already ruthless to her husband and child, so Rachel knew she must’ve treated her acquaintances or friends even

worse.

The last thing she’d want was to be involved with Tessa.

Tessa shot a vicious look at Matthew before turning to Rachel. Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.

“I’m here for you. We’re both women, so we should understand each other best. I have to tell you something, so you won’t be deceived by him.”

Deceived by Matthew? Rachel recalled the time she met him until now, only to realize that he hadn’t lied to her at all. Instead, she actually owed him a lot of favors.

Matthew cured Fred, resolved the medication incident, and even successfully aided her in securing the deal with Shane.

She merely gave him 20 thousand dollars in return, which made him extremely happy.

Rachel shook her head. “He hasn’t deceived me at all. I trust my own judgment well enough to not need any pointers from you.”

Tessa looked sheepish. Rachel’s retort hit home, but she had no choice but to endure it and continue, “I think you might be clueless–I’m actually talking about money. A huge sum of money, in fact. Are you sure you don’t want to know about it?”

Rachel shook her head. She’d just given Matthew 20 thousand dollars. With her reign over a company that was worth a few hundred billion dollars, 20 thousand dollars was insignificant to her.

Nonchalantly, she replied, “Calling 20 thousand dollars a huge sum is quite far–fetched.”

20 thousand dollars?

A flicker of understanding crossed Tessa’s face, suggesting that she had known all along.

“As expected, you’ve been deceived. He really fooled you.”

Rachel had no idea why Tessa kept insisting that she’d been deceived by Matthew. The nerve of her to make such a claim when she took all his assets after their divorce!

Thus, Rachel felt the need to clear Matthew’s name.

“He was short of money, so I willingly gave him an allowance of 20 thousand dollars.”

Tessa sneered. “He’s short of money, so you gave him an allowance of 20 thousand dollars? And you said he hasn’t deceived you. Do you have any idea how much money he has?”

Rachel looked unfazed, resembling a deity who was devoid of any emotions. In terms of money, she had more billions than she’d ever need. Even if Matthew had 10 thousand dollars, It wouldn’t faze her.

“How much money does he have? I bet he only has a few tens of thousands of dollars!”

Judging by how elated Matthew seemed when he received the 20 thousand dollars earlier, she could roughly guess his financial situation. If he were truly wealthy, he would never take money from a woman.

Tessa chanced a glance at Matthew. Her eyes grew thick with disdain as things played out as just she’d expected.

Matthew was hiding his huge fortune from Rachel.

Tessa’s aim was to threaten Matthew. Sensing that the time was right, she began, “If you don’t agree to my property division proposal, I’ll spill everything. Don’t blame it on me if she breaks up with you.”

Matthew remained indifferent. “Go ahead. Say whatever you want.

Tessa clenched her jaw. Since he refused to share his fortune, she would go for broke. She turned to face Rachel and said, “Then, I’ll tell you exactly how much money Matthew has. Listen carefully.”

Rachel pulled her phone out and glanced at it. She gave no heed to how much money Matthew had.
