Chapter 12 Surprise!
Emma's relationship with William is his dark past, nobody dares to bring it up.
Under his cold gaze, Jennifer quickly changed her tone in panic. "William, why don't you rest for a bit."
The panic in Jennifer’s eyes made William frown slightly.
All these years, Jennifer had always been by his side. She has a good temper, a good education and
family background, and she was obviously very beautiful. She's the ideal candidate to marry into the
Montgomery family.
Most importantly, she was faithful to him.
Thinking of this, William's tone softened a little. "Hmm, wake me when we arrive." Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
"Okay."
Jennifer asked the driver to slow down and adjusted the air conditioner.
After doing this, she saw that the man beside her had already closed his eyes, leaning against the back
of his seat. She still hadn't asked what she really wanted to ask.
Even though William hid it very well, she still saw it. In the corridor, he had deliberately pulled her back
and that caused her to bump into Mrs.Sullivan and that's why her phone fell into the water bucket.
He seemingly hated Emma, but in crucial moments, he still protected her.
Jennifer's hands tightened and her long nails dug into her palms.
……
As she stepped out of the dean's office, Emma's mind was still buzzing.
She didn't explain the video and the dean didn't ask much about it. After all, it was a personal issue.
However, the impact was too bad, so her work was suspended until Mr.Sullivan's discharged.
Back to the apartment, Emma threw the keys and sat on the sofa. She was too tired to move.
She didn't know why things in her life kept going south.
Just as she was feeling annoyed, the doorbell rang.
Uber Eats? She hadn't even ordered yet!
She opened the door.
"Surprise!" The soft and cute voice entered her ears and Emma's thigh was hugged tightly.
Emma looked down at the little girl clutching her thighs, her head spinning.
"Natalie?!"
"Mommy!" Beneath her, a cute face bloomed with a smile, like a sunflower growing in the sun.
"Oh my God, you came alone?!"
"Of course not!" As Natalie Lang held her mom in her arms, she turned back and shouted at the
elevators at the end of the corridor behind her, "Nathan! Hurry up!"
As the wheels of the suitcase rolled over the ground, Nathan, dressed in a white casual suit, pushed
two children's luggage and followed his sister into the house.
"Girls are so troublesome. I told you not to bring so many things."
Emma was even more surprised when she saw her son.
Nathan nodded and then raised his chin to point to the room behind Emma. “Is this your apartment?”
The two children were born abroad and grew up abroad. This was the place Emma Lang had
temporarily rented for work. This was their first time coming here.
Emma Lang looked behind the two children. "Wait, where's Uncle James?"
"He didn't come." Nathan calmly moved the suitcase into the apartment.
"What?!" Emma Lang's voice instantly raised. She was so shocked that she couldn't speak. “The two of
you came by yourself? How did you do that?”
Even Emma's disapproving tone didn't stop Nathan from walking into the bedroom with the suitcases.
Natalie held her mom's legs and didn't let go. Her voice was soft and cute, and she looked innocent. "I
wanted to fly over with my brother. Mommy, I told you before."
"Huh?" Emma Lang looked down at her daughter before looking up at her son who had already sat
down to drink water. She suddenly remembered that the two of them had indeed said this over the
phone two days ago.
She just didn't think they would actually fly over.
Two seven-year-old children… How did they get on the plane?!
