Marry Ex's Uncle After Divorcement

Chapter 826

Chapter 826

Theresa was still thinking about the company while she walking out of Dick’s house. When she came out, she found Charlie’s car was still there. She thought he had gone, but his car was still parked at the door. She hesitated for a while, went to him and knocked on the window.

Charlie was in a daze. Hearing the knock on the window, he turned and took a look at Theresa and then unlocked the door. Theresa opened the door and asked, “You haven’t gone back yet?”

“Waiting for you.” Charlie sat in his seat coldly.

Theresa looked at him. “I told you not to come! You know how much Dick hates you!” There was nothing going on, but Dick had to mess it up.

“I like it! Charlie said, “None of your business.”

Hearing this, Theresa looked at him without saying a word.

“Get in!” Said Charlie.

Theresa took one look at him and got into his car. She found that the man who was self-righteous before now could accept the drudgery.

Theresa turned to Charlie and said, “Hey, Charlie, you have so much time on your hands these days. Why don’t you find yourself a girlfriend?”

Hearing this, Charlie was stunned for a moment and asked in a dull voice, “What do you mean?”

“I’m gonna get married with Dick, anyway. You should also move on. So you don’t have to worry about me anymore and it won’t bother you to see a twice-divorced woman.”

Charlie felt depressed and soon became rational again. He told himself that there was nothing wrong with what Theresa had said. It was his problem that he had become angry! After all, they didn’t really have much to do with each other. And there was nothing wrong with her saying that.

He said, “Right! You can hook me up with a girl.”

Theresa looked at him and was stunned.

“What kind of girl do you like?” She answered, not showing her surprise.

Charlie thought for a moment and said, “It’s not important what I like. What’s important is that what Leonard and Ben like. After you and Dick get married, kids will stay with me, right? So I should find them a stepmother they like, avoiding meeting a girl like Sarah, I don’t know what I am supposed to do if the children won’t talk to me.”

Theresa’s mouth twitched at his words. She was really stumped.

Charlie looked at her being silent and said, “Why don’t you speak? Now you start to worry about your sons? I’ve thought about it. You’ve done so much for these two kids over the years. It’s hard for you keep them after all you’ve suffered, when Jimmy was doing that to you. Now it’s your right to find your happiness. I didn’t do anything for them as a father. Love is dispensable to me. It doesn’t matter who I’m with. I’ll be good to the children. Don’t worry!”

He had begun to arrange things after she and Dick got married. Theresa looked at him and felt something strange.

She said, “Actually, I’m not sure if I’m gonna marry him.”

“You know,” Charlie said, “Chandler said that his father would not agree. If you really want to be with him, it’s gonna take a lot of detours. It might not be safe for the children to stay with you!”

The more he talked, the more horrible Theresa felt. She did not know how to answer his words.

On the way, Charlie drove the car, silent. Theresa was silent for a while, looked at the man driving, and said, “Charlie.” Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

“What?” His voice was cold.

Theresa said, “Let we talk after Jimmy’s thing is over.”

Theresa planned that when it was all over, she would tell him clearly about Dick’s matter.
