Chapter195 Dinner
Dinner
She crossed his legs and sat there, lightly sipping a small cup of tea and looking into the distance. The
hand that rested on her knee was fair and tender, and the sparkling diamond ring on his finger exuded
a noble aura.
The person stood still for a few seconds, then waved at the waiter to back off. He took off his mask and
sunglasses, then strode over and said, "Sarah."
Hearing that, Sarah slowly turned her head, revealing her cold face. Seeing it was him, her expression
softened. "You're here."
The man pulled out the chair opposite her and casually sat down. With a slight smile, he said, "You still
know how to enjoy life, Sarah."
Sarah raised her lower lip and poured him a cup of tea. Her voice was light and gentle as she said,
"When did you come back? I was not informed."
The man picked up the cup and took a sniff before drinking it in one gulp. Then he said casually, "It's
been half a year since I came back. But I haven't been to London yet, so I didn't contact you. Don't be
mad at me."
Sarah lowered her head to look at the great tea Her eyelashes moved slightly as she spoke in a low
voice, "Well, you contacted me much more frequently when you were overseas. Did something
happen?"
Although Minh were a few years late than Sarah attending the uni, they were still considered alumni.
They had met in a debate, in which he was the contestant and she was the judge. Gradually they got
to know each other better. She treated him like her younger brother, and he hadn't disappoint her.
However, she would never take the initiative to care about anyone, and her mind had been on one
person for the past year, so she gradually began to ignore about others.
The smile on Minh's young and handsome face returned, "I really can't hide anything from you, Sarah.
Yeah, there was something happened, but I can still take care of it myself."
"Minh, you've disappeared for half a year. It seems that this matter is a bit serious. Do you need my
help?"
Compared to his usual frivolous and impetuous personality, now Minh looked like a completely different
person. There was sharp and mature look on his face.
"No need, I came today just to see you."
Sarah looked at him deeply. "Then what are you doing now? Working or doing some master degree
later."
Minh paused, and answered honestly, "I'm working right now."
Sarah put down the cup and folded her hands on her knees. Hearing that, she raised her eyebrows,
"Working? Where is it?"
He suddenly came back just to get a job?
Minh looked down at the goldfish in the pond below him, his pupils contracting as he thought to himself,
"Just a small company."
Sarah looked at him and immediately understood what he meant, "I won't care about your private
issues, but when will you finish it?"
Minh put down the cup and turned to look at her, "What's wrong?"
Sarah did not beat around the bush, but smiled and said crisply, "After you're done with your work, you
can quit your job. I'll find a new place for you."
"Where? The Green's ? If the payment is good, I can consider it." Minh smiled.
"No! Fantasy."
She had cultivated him herself, so she understood his ability. Naturally, she trusted him more.
Minh's eyes flashed something extremely quickly when he saw the wedding ring on her hand. He
suddenly laughed, "I heard that you were married but I didn't received the invitation either. When can I
meet him? Is he nice to you?"
Sarah turned her gaze away, her finger gently rubbing the ring on her ring finger, her eyes filled with
emotion, "There's no wedding. If you want to see him, he may not have time right now."
Minh's eyelids drooped down slowly as he spat out two words, "Mr Simons." RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
"…"
"You've seen him before?"
When she mentioned Fantasy, he could guess that her husband was him, for which she didn't feel
strange. But his tone sounded like he really knew Simons, and she was somewhat surprised.
Minh casually nodded, "I met him once at the wine party, but he hasn't seen me."
He did not mention the complicated matters concerning Shawn, Isabella and Brighton.
"Oh yeah, Sarah, before I settle my thing, I hope you won't mention me to Mr. Simons. If I still plan to
stay in UK at that time, I'll go find him myself."
Sarah thought for a moment, then nodded, "That's fine too, if you need help, you can tell me."
...
In the hotel, Isabella and Christian were still kissing while sitting on the sofa, when a phone suddenly
rang. The sound of the phone being shaken startled Isabella awake, and her face flushed red as she
pushed him away, and said extremely awkwardly, "It seems to be mine."
Breathing heavily, she got up to look for got phone.
Following the sound, she found it on the bedside table. She habitually glanced at the note and was
slightly stunned, then turned her head to look at Christian, "Shawn calls me."
Christian opened his eyes wide, his pupils suddenly turning cold.
Without waiting for the vibrations to continue, Isabella pressed the answer button, "Hello, Mr. Simons."
"Miss Jones, are you at the hotel?" Shawn gently asked.
Isabella slightly pursed her lips, "Yes. Can I help you, Mr. Simons?"
"I haven't entertain you yet this time you come to London, and you were too busy in the morning, so
don't mind me. I don't know if you guys have time tonight, and I'll treat you to a dinner. We can talk
about some work issue by this chance."
Isabella squinted as a hint of coldness flashed past her eyes.
He didn't let his secretary make this call, which was because he was afraid that she would refuse. And
now, he was using work issues as an excuse to inviting her for dinner …
But this time, she couldn't think of any good methods. Shawn had already figured out the purpose of
her visit to London, which was to grab cooperation chance with Fantasy. If she didn't try, then this trip
would have been in vain.
She then smiled, "I'm free tonight, so I'll see you later, Mr. Simons."
"Alright, I'll get the secretary to send you the time and address."
"Thank you, Mr. Simons."
Not willing to talk anymore, Isabella directly hung up the phone.
Holding the phone in her hand, she raised her chin towards Christian and said, "He wants to treat us to
dinner tonight, but not including you."
Christian tilted his head and laughed unhurriedly, but his eyes were cold. "He's so busy right now that
he doesn't even have time to greet important clients, but he would spare time to eat with you."
Isabella frowned, "Not me, but us!"
Although she also felt that Simons' target was her and he didn't seem to care about Benton at all,
otherwise, he wouldn't have missed the project proposal that she sent over half a month
ago.
