“Ran, do you remember the schedule for later this evening, right? There’s a dinner invitation from Mr. Prasodjo and his associates.”
Randy, who was busy reading a report at his desk, immediately looked up. A moment later, he nodded, responding to Stella’s question.
“Yeah, I remember that invitation,” he replied casually. “I’ve been reminded to attend that event for quite some time now.”
Stella then took a step forward, closing the distance between herself and Randy, who was still seated at his desk.
“I’ll be going to the event too. Luckily, Max and Ferdinand also got invitations. Want to go together as usual? I can pick you up if you agree. Plus, after the event, Ferdinand wants us all to relax for a bit at HollyShow.”
Randy smiled, shook his head after a moment, politely signaling his refusal to Stella. He certainly didn’t forget that last night, before going to bed, he had tried hard to persuade Ghea to go with him this evening. After successfully convincing her, Randy wouldn’t waste this opportunity. No way!
“Thanks for the offer, Stell. But, this evening I’ll be going with my wife. Can’t be married and still go solo, right? Besides, all our colleagues know I’m married. What would they think if I went alone? And about hanging out, I don’t think I can join in.”
Stella nodded awkwardly. Her hope of going with Randy tonight was dashed. However, she couldn’t force herself to go with him. It would be embarrassing to appear too aggressive when she actually hoped for it.
“Yeah, I guess. It’s good that you’re coming with your wife. So, people won’t keep thinking you’re single. But, some still don’t ‘get it’ that you’re married now.”
Randy smiled again. Undeniably, despite the grand wedding celebration, some colleagues still considered him single until this moment.
“That’s why, from now on, whenever there’s an event or dinner invitation, I’ll always bring her. For Mr. Prasodjo’s event, let’s just meet directly at the venue.”
“Okay,” Stella agreed with a nod. “In that case, see you later.”
Ending the conversation, and as evening approached, Randy decided to hurry home and get ready. Upon arriving home and entering his room, he found Ghea who had just finished preparing herself.
Wearing a silver dress with an A-line off-shoulder design that Randy specifically chose and entrusted to Alvin, Ghea looked incredibly beautiful and graceful in that outfit. Not to mention the makeup she wore this afternoon, making her appearance 180 degrees more mature than usual.
Truly, after being amazed by Ghea’s appearance on the wedding day and when Ghea first entered the internship, this evening Randy was once again captivated by his wife.
It’s true what people say out there. If someone doesn’t usually wear makeup in their daily life, once they put it on, their aura immediately shines. And this might be what happened to Ghea because, in her daily life, she always had a tomboyish appearance.Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.
“Uncle!” Ghea greeted when she saw her husband just staring near the entrance.
“Uncle Randy!” she called again.
“Huh? Yeah?” Randy responded as he snapped out of his thoughts.
“Why are you daydreaming? Is Uncle enchanted by my beauty? What’s up?”
“It seems so,” Randy nodded, affirming Ghea’s words. Although, she was just talking nonsense before.
“Geez, you flirt.”
“No, Ghea. I’m serious. You do look beautiful in that dress,” Randy pointed to the dress Ghea was currently wearing. “More feminine, sexy, and also more mature.”
Suddenly, a thought crossed Randy’s mind. Somehow, he found himself imagining Ghea wearing a sexy dress and playfully teasing him.
“Oh God, Randy. What are you thinking!” Randy muttered to himself while holding his chest, which suddenly felt tight and warm.
Meanwhile, Ghea, who received compliments from Randy, blushed immediately. Her face and ears turned noticeably red. It’s been said that Ghea can’t handle even the slightest bit of praise. Let’s say this is indeed her weakness. If someone of the opposite sex compliments her, her heart would surely melt instantly.
“Oh, don’t exaggerate. Don’t always praise me.”
“It’s not an exaggeration, Ghe,” Randy debated. “If you look closely, you are indeed beautiful and adorable. But speaking of compliments, do you know what oil can make me dizzy and addicted?”
Ghea blinked. Her forehead immediately furrowed. She was just praised, and now she’s given a completely unrelated and unclear riddle. For God’s sake, what kind of man is this guy next to her?
“Oil? Makes you dizzy? Is there such a thing?”
“Yes, there is,” Randy said confidently. “That’s why I asked, do you know what oil can make me dizzy and addicted?”
“What is it?” Ghea surrendered.
“Watching your smile every day, Ghe.”
Once again, Ghea was embarrassed. Anyway, if she could raise a white flag, she would do it now. She couldn’t endure being praised and teased continuously like this.
“Enough, Uncle. Stop it. I might get too full of these compliments. Now, hurry up and change your clothes. We might be late for the dinner invitation.”
Randy laughed and nodded. Following Ghea’s command, he quickly freshened up and got ready. Meanwhile, Ghea faithfully waited for him on the sofa.
“How about this? Is this outfit suitable for me to wear now?” Randy asked while adjusting the navy-colored suit he was wearing.
Ghea threw a scanning glance. Observing her husband’s appearance from head to toe, then drawing a conclusion.
“It looks good. Well, even though I hate to admit it, you look exceptionally handsome tonight, Om,” Ghea said while shifting her gaze. It was a bit awkward for her to say that. She was afraid Randy would become conceited after hearing her confession. But, undeniable, her husband did look very handsome in the navy suit that hugged his athletic body.
“Thanks for the compliment. But, I’m handsome all the time, right? That’s why I’m a perfect husband for you.”
See, what did Ghea say? He gets a little praise and immediately boasts, right?
“Whatever you say, Uncle,” Ghea replied casually.
Laughter erupted from Randy’s lips. He enjoyed teasing his wife like that.
“Let’s go now,” Randy invited when he finished preparing himself. He then approached, extended his hand, and invited Ghea to hold hands on the way to the car.
Ghea didn’t refuse at all. She simply followed when Randy invited her to hurry to the car waiting downstairs.
