Chapter 34: A Bank Card Without a Code
Chapter 34: A Bank Card Without a Code
Everyone there was shocked.
And the eyes were locked on Phoebe at the same time…
Spencer’s heart skipped a beat before she mocked Phoebe on the inside. Then she started to enjoy
the drama.
Customers nearby choosing fancy accessories also looked at them and whispered…
Phoebe’s face hardened as she felt all eyes on her. How embarrassing! She remembered there was at
least fifteen thousand dollars in her account. How could it fail to cover a phone?
The assistant must have made a mistake.
She questioned the assistant, “How much does it cost?”
“Twenty-five thousand dollars.”
Phoebe was shocked as she couldn’t believe the number. Her fancy handbag only took her no more
than six thousand.”
She really wondered if the phone was made of gold.
But she couldn’t as people were watching her.
Was Spencer insane? Why would she choose such an unbelievably expensive cellphone?
But she only had fifteen thousand dollars in her card…
She turned to her husband for help, asking coyly, “My dear…”
Taking a step back, Taylor pretended to not know her. However, Phoebe called him which crashed his
plan.
He shot her with a glare and whispered, “You’ve got all my money in your card.”
Then he shifted his eyes from her away, ignoring her embarrassment…
Phoebe was dumbfounded as she never thought her husband would leave her alone when she was in
need.
She shot his back with an angry glance and planned to punish him back home. Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
Phoebe flashed a smile to the assistant. “I’m so sorry. I left my other cards at home. Can I take it away
and bring the money to you tomorrow?”
Spencer rolled her eyes as she couldn’t believe Phoebe would be so shameless.
She did not know the whopping price, either.
But she did love it at first sight.
After all, the shopping mall belonged to Wonfo Group.
And Lukas’ VIP bank card was of no overdraft limit.
When Spencer was about to give the VIP bank card to another assistant, this assistant said to Phoebe,
“Sorry, madam, but you can’t take it away unless you pay for it.”
Even the assistant felt embarrassed…
She had a crush on the hottie, but he rejected her affection and told her he loved the girl he brought
here…
So she purposely allow the older woman to pay for the cellphone to embarrass the girl. She never
thought the woman didn’t have enough money.
She was way too hasty…
Phoebe couldn’t take it that she was turned down by a shop assistant.
She angrily shrilled, “I told you I’ll pay for it tomorrow. Tomorrow, okay? Are you saying I can’t afford it?”
Her shrill attracted more attention.
The assistant was dumbfounded as she had never seen a customer as unreasonable as she was.
Another assistant came to her rescue. “Sorry, madam, but we have to comply with our bylaws where
paying on credit was forbidden.”
Exasperated and embarrassed, Phoebe was rendered speechless.
Suddenly, a sweet voice was sounded. “Since she doesn’t have enough money, I’ll take it away. Here’s
my bank card without a code, please.”
Spencer flashed a golden VIP bank card out and handed it to the assistant.
The assistants were dumbfounded. Both Phoebe and Taylor were looking at Spencer.
And the crowd were also curious about what happened, whispering with one another…
After figuring it out, people started to glance over Phoebe with distain, whispering about how mean she
was…
“Old as she was, she shouldn’t have grabbed a phone from a girl. The problem is she can’t even afford
it. What a shame!”
“Indeed. She’s so poor, yet she’s shameless enough to ask for an overdraft.”
“Doesn’t she ever think she’s too old to use pink stuff?”
…
Now Phoebe was totally out of control as she was exasperated enough to snapped, “Who told you I’m
an old woman? I’m only forty, okay?”
“Who said I’m poor? Listen. I just left my bank card at home. Do you know who I am?”
Everyone kept quiet as Phoebe sputtered.
They were teasing her on the inside, looking down upon her.
Smothering her laugh, Spencer looked at the furious Phoebe whose wrinkles on the face stood out as
her muscle moved. It seemed her expensive SPA didn’t’ help her beat the age.
She could finally see her past that she had a bad temper.
She couldn’t believe Phoebe had pretended to be gentle and mellow for over ten years.
Spencer’s eyes shifted to Taylor, who stepped back to hide himself. He valued his own reputation more
than his wife, and he didn’t want to help her wife out.
If she hadn’t been kicked out of Sharp family, she wouldn’t have seen them through.
What’s done is done. She wouldn’t regard them as her dear family anymore.
All she wanted was to take back what belonged to grandpa.
She had made up her mind.
She waved her hand in front of the assistants pull them out of their daze, handing her card to them.
“I’ll take the phone.”
The assistant had served her from the very beginning smiled. “Okay.”
As soon as she touched the card, her hand was hit, and the card slipped out of her hand, falling dwon
to the ground…
“I told you it belongs to me. Put your card away.” Phoebe sputtered.
Taylor felt his wife just did something stupid, and he wanted to drag her away. The fact was he was
CEO of Sharp Group, who’d never do this to ruin his own reputation.
He leveled her with a hard look to let her leave there, but Phoebe was too angry to obey his order.
All she wanted was to beat Spencer.
With knitted eyebrows, Spencer looked at the VIP card on the ground, sneering, “Can you? Do you
have enough money now?”
Phoebe choked on her words.
But she thought of something as she took her phone out of her handbag. “Who said I don’t have
enough money now? My daughter will send it to me.”
Then she called her daughter. When her daughter picked up the phone, she directly told her to bring
her the money.
After hanging up, she held her head high and looked at Spencer smugly. “My daughter’s here in the
mall, too. She’ll pay for the cellphone.”
Phoebe was so confident as if the phone had been hers.
Under no circumstance would the orphan win out.
Was Charlotte coming here?
She instinctively looked at Lukas as she didn’t want Charlotte know the existence of Lukas.
Lukas felt her eyes were on him and he replied her with a cold glance. Then he said to Harris coldly, “I
need to see the manager. Now.”
“Yes, sir.”
Harris left to find the manager.
