Chapter 42
Since allowing Andrew and Melina to nurture a relationship on their terms didn’t work, Wallace wanted to just ship the both of them back to the Wentworth residence.
“Let’s head home, Bernard.”
“Mr. Wentworth was in an accident, Mr. Wentworth Senior. We’re not visiting Mr. Wentworth anymore?”
“What’s there to visit? Let’s head back!”
At Oakread, Melina sighed.
After all the hurdles and bumps, she was back at this place again.
Everything seemed to have returned to its original place, just like when she had first promised Mr. Wentworth Senior to take good care of Andrew in the very beginning.
Melina was a little disoriented. She was about to move her
belongings back to her previous room when Andrew said, “The guest room has been cleaned. Move your things upstairs.
“From now on, you’ll be staying with me.”
The only reason he brought her back was solely because of his insomnia, so there was no way he would allow Melina to stay separately from him.
Melina panicked. “We don’t have to stay together. I can take good care of you even if I stay downstairs.”
Andrew stopped in his tracks, turned around, and looked at Melina.
He leaned in closer and towered slightly over her.

Andrew was too close for Melina’s comfort. She was frozen on the spot like a deer caught in headlights. All she could do was tuck her neck in nervously.
Andrew looked into Melina’s eyes as he enunciated every word. “I’m not just doing this because I need you to take care of me. I want to give us a chance to see if we can become a real husband and wife.”
Melina was dumbfounded.
What did Andrew mean by this?
He said he wanted to become a real husband and wife with her?
Andrew came to the amusement park to look for her. He saved her during the car accident. Did he like her, even if it was just the slightest. bit?
Melina had never been in a relationship before. She was clueless
when it came to romantic relationships. At that moment, her heart was racing. novelbin
She didn’t know what to do.
Andrew looked at her calmly and asked, “Are you unwilling?”
If it were like last time, Melina would definitely be unwilling.
However, at that moment, Melina stuttered, “N–No, l–I’m willing.”
Melina’s thought process was very straightforward. In the beginning, Andrew was just a stranger to her. She tried to get along with him solely because of Mr. Wentworth Senior.
Now that Andrew had done so much for her and had even risked his life for her, Melina’s heart had already softened. Of course, she would be willing.
Satisfied, Andrew went upstairs with Melina following obediently behind him.
Melina felt a little nervous upon entering Andrew’s room this time.
She didn’t know why she was nervous
The first time she came into this room, she landed a punch on
Andreve
But this time, the entire room smelled like Andrew. She felt like her
heart was about to leap out of h chest.
Melina gave herself a sneaky pinch. “Calm down, calm down, and stand straight, Meline!“”
She turned around awkwardly to unpack her belongings.
She heard a chuckle coming from behind her.
Melina stiffened. Then, she dared quickly into the walk–in wardrobe
like she was running for her life.
She stood in front of Andrew’s gigantic walk–in wardrobe but she didn’t put her clothes in it.
She found a small drawer in the comer and placed her clothes in them. She didn’t unpack the rest of her belongings.
It was almost like she didn’t consider this place her home and was subconsciously prepared to be chased out at any time.
Some pain could not be easily resolved.
After she was done unpacking, Melina trudged slowly back into the
room
Just then, she heard water running in the bathroom and suddenly remembered the wounds on Andrew’s back. How could he shower with so many wounds on his back?
She jumped to her fest and ran towards the bathroom yelling.”
Andrew, you can’t take a
wer. You shouldn’t get your wounds wet!”
There was no response from within the bathroom.
Melina gritted her teeth as she hesitated.
Should she just barge in to stop him?
#t she were to just rush in like this, Andrew was surely going to get mad.
The sound of running water did not stop at all.
Melina was worried sick. She didn’t care about keeping a courteous distance between different genders anymore.
She flung the bathroom door open and barged in.
