Chapter 683: Truly a Disciple of Jasper
The three uncles were ready, and together with Tina, they prepared to leave. That night at the Reed family residence, Juliet and Linden returned home after attending an event, too tired to even remove their makeup. Damian, sitting in the living room, smiled upon their arrival and said, "Back already? There's something delicious in the kitchen."
Juliet stretched lazily and was about to speak when a knock on the door interrupted her. "Who could that be at this hour?" she wondered aloud. Opening the door, she was startled to see a familiar figure; for a moment, she thought she was mistaken.
Rubbing her eyes and looking again, she exclaimed, "Tina?" She was bewildered! Since the incident involving Jasper and Annabelle, Tina had not visited the Reeds. Although Juliet occasionally saw Tina, those instances were rare due to Tina's busy schedule. She remembered the last time she saw Tina was half a year ago on her way to the office, where they exchanged hurried greetings.
A sudden uneasy feeling surged within her. Since their grandmother's death, Tina had moved out of the Reed household. The last time she came was to apprehend Jasper. Without any apparent reason for her visit, Juliet feared something was about to happen. "Oh, please no!" she thought, "My heart can't take another shock!"
Damian was equally surprised by Tina's sudden appearance and asked, "Tina, what brings you here all of a sudden? Is something the matter?"
With a slight curve of her red lips, Tina looked up at him and asked softly, "Am I not welcome?"
"How could that be?" Damian quickly ushered her inside, saying with a laugh, "We're more than happy to have you; how could we not welcome you? Please, have a seat!"
Tina sat on the sofa and turned to Juliet, "How have you been lately?"
Seeing Tina's smile, Juliet felt a weight lift off her chest, as it seemed nothing serious was amiss. She took a beverage from the fridge and handed it to Tina, smiling, "I've been quite good. I recently won an award and will be shooting a movie in a few days. It's directed by a renowned filmmaker, and I really like the script."
Tina nodded, "Good! Keep it up!"
Juliet hummed in acknowledgment, then asked, "How about you? I saw your post yesterday. Did you and Mr. Farrell get registered?"
Juliet had once harbored feelings for a man who had helped her, vowing to marry him. However, she only recently discovered that this man was Jared! She felt no jealousy towards Tina for marrying Jared; instead, she was happy for her. After all, the man who had once aided her was merely a shadow in her heart, and she hadn't even known what he looked like before she knew it was Jared. Had he been unmarried, she would have pursued her love without hesitation. Now, she graciously stepped aside and wished Jared and Tina well.
"Yes, that's right," Tina replied with a soft smile.
The three of them chatted sporadically until Tina turned to Damian, changing the subject abruptly, "I came today to tell you that we've found Griffin."
Juliet, caught off guard, asked, "What happened to Griffin?"
She had been busy with work and was largely unaware of her family's matters, including any issues with Griffin.
"Really? That's wonderful!" Damian breathed a sigh of relief, "I've been so busy with the bionic robot project that I couldn't go to pick him up myself. I was quite worried when I heard that the sanatorium had burned down!" Before Tina could speak, Damian added, "This kid, he woke up and didn't even tell us. I could have gone to pick him up, but instead, he calls you."
He smiled, his fingers casually pausing on the arm of the sofa.
Tina glanced at his fingers, her smile deepening.
Damian felt uncomfortable under her gaze and chuckled awkwardly, "Tina, why are you looking at me like that?"
Tina's smile was tinged with coldness, "I want to see the expression on your face when you talk like this, after personally putting your own brother into a coma with severe injuries." Damian's expression stiffened, "What do you mean by that?"

Juliet felt an inexplicable jolt in her heart, "Tina, are you saying my brother put Griffin into a coma with severe injuries?"
How could that be?
Griffin was Damian's own brother!
After their grandmother and uncle had an accident, Damian hadn't seemed very upset, which she could understand.
Their connection to their grandmother and uncle was somewhat distant, but Griffin was different; he was his own brother. How could he?
Juliet couldn't believe it was true, her face full of anticipation as she looked at Tina, hoping to hear it was just a joke.
But Tina only glanced at her briefly before turning her gaze back to Damian, saying indifferently, "Shall you confess, or shall I do it for you? Night Hawk!"
Damian visibly shook, "How did you...!"NôvelDrama.Org holds this content.
Tina's smile deepened, "Surprised?"
Damian stared intensely at Tina, trying to detect any trace of probing in her expression.
Unfortunately, he was disappointed.

Though she had become softer than before, he could tell that her smile carried a chill, and her cold eyes sparkled slightly with frost.
The more Damian knew her, the more he understood that such a smile meant she was about to erupt in anger.
After a long stare, Damian slowly withdrew his gaze, picked up the glass of water Juliet had just poured for him, drank it in one gulp, set down the glass, and looked at Tina again, "Yes, quite surprised. How did you find out? I thought I hid it well!"
He added, "Is it just because of Griffin's phone call?"
"When was it?" Tina leaned back on the sofa, her slender, pale fingers pinching her temple, as if deeply pondering, "Perhaps it was the day Jasper was arrested, during your secret communication with him? Or was it the day Annabelle died, from the drugs you injected into her that drove her mad? Or even earlier?"
Damian looked at her in shock, his emotions in turmoil!
She had known so early on.
After a long pause, he slowly spoke, "Since you knew all along, why didn't you expose me and let me send Griffin, severely injured and comatose, to Alderanth?"
Tina smiled, "I thought you were smart enough to guess why I haven't acted against you until now!"
Almost as soon as Tina finished speaking, Damian responded, "Because of Five Poisons!"
Tina's smile grew even brighter, "You truly are worthy of being Jasper's personally trained gift to Five Poisons!"
