“Simon we need to do some investigations today, I feel there might be something we might find out there,” I said to him.

“Then I should drive.” He said with a smile.

“I won’t let you, let’s go.”

I stepped out with him as we entered my black Suv car leaving the mansion.

“So tell me, Simon, when are you getting a mate? I guess it’s my turn to torment you.”

“Really Alpha Lorde?”

“Oh come on, Andre doesn’t even have time for the pack so he is no threat for us, let’s just forget about him, I know once he is back he will be coming to the pack.”

“What about your mate welcoming? Won’t you invite him to come?”

We arrived at a deserted pack where no one could be seen, like an outskirt of town.

“The desert pack of all places?” He said.

“Yes, let’s make some findings here and see if we can find any clue,” I said to him.

“Okay then.”

We separated from each other trying to find a clue that might lead us to the enemy then I found some firewoods that is still hot meaning someone is here.

I looked around and found some remains of food and then dresses.

“Raja do you think is the culprit that is living here?” I asked my wolf side.

“That I will say I doubt, why will they come to live in a place like this, a place they destroyed.”

“You make a point you know, let’s check very well.”

I sniff some things out and observe some of the things then I found some syringes that is broken on the ground, now I am confused, don’t tell me this is what they use in injecting my kinds.

“Simon, did you find anything?” I mind link, Simon.

“Just broken syringes on the ground, it seems someone has been coming in here.” He replied.

“Yes, I believe that, with what I am seeing here as well, just keep checking and also try to be sensitive in case there is anyone around that might harm us but right now, let’s try to take this broken syringe and run a test on it when we return.”

“Sure let’s do that.” He said.

I ended the mind link as we continued before I started missing Amelia.

“If you miss her so much, why don’t you call her?” Raja said to me.

“Yes I miss her but right now, I am carrying out my duty, when I am done, I will do that.”

“Okay if you say so.”

After some minutes, Simon brought out some packaged food with water for us to have, “I know everything we two go on a research like this, we will surely spend like a full day, I can’t stay hungry, so let’s eat so your stomach can stop rumbling.” Simon added with a smile.

“I can just kill you here right now, hope you know that?”

“I know you can’t do that, now let’s eat something, the sun is almost going down.” He added.

“Yes we need to eat quickly to continue and I also know Amelia will be patiently waiting to see you.”

“I guess you are right but we can’t leave here without finding something, there must be a clue here, there must,” I said to him because my instinct tells me so.

“Sure I believe you, Let’s continue.” He said after we finished eating.

“Let’s go this way, I have a believe someone might be there.” I pointed go a path and Simon nodded to go with me.

While taking the path, I notice something weird has been going on around here and there must be someone living here.

“Simon, let’s split, now it’s two paths, let me know if you find anything strange okay?”

We separated and then I saw some fresh fruits on the ground and the use of Olive so I can’t detect one’s smell, the person is masking himself but luckily I saw a sharp object thrown in my direction, I had to avoid it and when I raised my head, my eyes became so red then I saw someone running so fast, I need to chase after the person.

I ran as well to get the person when my phone rang, I didn’t pick up and then a text came up on my phone, I brought my phone out trying to sniff the person I was running after when I saw a text that made me freeze,” Amelia is missing.”
