Chapter 69 Do You Believe It Now?
Chapter 69 Do You Believe It Now?
Mr. Gerrard frowned and secretly glanced at Shelly, who was next to him. He seemed to be asking her
what was going on.
Shelly looked helpless, indicating that she had not expected it.
Mr. Gerrard's face turned cold. He looked at Evelyn and asked seriously, "How can you prove it? Do
you have an invitation?"
"I..." Evelyn had just said a word when she suddenly stopped. She had been brought in by Shelly. How
could she have an invitation?
Evelyn turned to look at Shelly and the others and said hurriedly, "Come out and say something!"
Shelly lowered her head and shrank into the crowd.
Viviana looked indifferent with a sneer in her eyes, as if she wanted Atlas to lose face.
As for Joseph, Tobias, and the others, it was even more impossible for them to testify for Atlas.
Seeing them standing by, Evelyn gave them a hard look.
"I don't have an invitation, but I can prove that he is not a thief!" Evelyn stared at Mr. Gerrard
stubbornly.
Atlas stood silently behind Evelyn as he looked at the slim figure in front of him. Yet, it shielded him
from the wind and rain again and again. A warm current surged in his heart.
"You're still as kind and innocent as you were in this life! It's a pity that fate is unfair. Your ending in your
previous life was tragic. In this life, let me change your fate!"
Mr. Gerrard stared at Evelyn sternly, with a trace of fierceness in his eyes. "You don't even have an
invitation. I haven't investigated how you got in, but you still want to testify for him! You two are
obviously in cahoots!"
In order to prevent Evelyn from revealing the fact that it was he who took advantage of his job to let
Shelly and the others in, Mr. Gerrard decided to drive Evelyn and Atlas out as soon as possible.
"Mr. Johnson, drive these two thieves out!" Mr. Gerrard commanded.
Joseph and the others were gloating at Atlas.
"I finally got rid of Atlas this time." Joseph said excitedly.
"But Evelyn..." Shelly looked worried.
Viviana said indifferently, "Don't worry, this is her own choice!"
"But, Evelyn will also be driven out!" Shelly just wanted to drive Atlas away from them. She never
thought that she would get Evelyn involved.
Gavin comforted her, "Don't think too much. She chose Atlas by herself. Even if she was driven out,
she should be blamed!"
If Evelyn was not here, Joseph would feel a little regretful.
Mr. Johnson immediately asked several security guards to drag them away. He gestured to Atlas,
"Please!"
Mr. Gerrard's face was full of pride. As long as Atlas and Evelyn were driven out, no one would know
that he had allowed Shelly and others in.
"This little girl only knows how to make trouble for me. I can't promise her anything next time!" Mr.
Gerrard was secretly startled.
Evelyn looked at Atlas with an apologetic expression on her beautiful face. "Sorry, Atlas, I failed to help
you!"
Atlas smiled, "I'm very grateful that you stood up for me."
Evelyn looked depressed. "But I can't change anything. We will still be driven out."
Atlas said lightly, "Not necessarily!"
At this moment, a majestic roar suddenly sounded from behind, echoing in the empty hall.
"I want to see who dares to drive out the distinguished guest I invited!"
A group of people came out of the elevator, led by the Six-fingered God of gambling, Seamus Wilbert.
Seamus's face darkened, as if he was trying his best to suppress his rage.
Mr. Gerrard didn't know Seamus, but he knew who the middle-aged man behind Seamus was.
That was the boss of DH Century Mall, Liam Kingston!
Liam Kingston was on par with Ronald Kimmerly. Now, he was following the short man like an
attendant.
Who exactly was that short guy?
Thinking of those people who came today, Mr. Gerrard felt a chill rising from the bottom of his feet.
Seamus quickly walked to Atlas and said politely, "Mr. Lincoln, I'm sorry to keep you waiting!"
Atlas said lightly, "I've been waiting for a long time. If you had come a little later, I would have been
kicked out." Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
Seamus looked embarrassed and glowered at Liam behind him.
Although Liam was also a big wheel in Lanceham, he could only submit to Harry Shaw and Beckett
Jackman, who were real big shots.
Seamus was not scary, but Harry Shaw, the real ruler of Waymouth, stood behind him.
Liam quickly lowered his head and apologized to Atlas. "Mr. Lincoln, please forgive me. I was the one
who had hired the wrong guy and I let such an idiot be in the management of DH Century Mall!"
After that, Liam glared at Mr. Gerrard.
"Don't worry, Mr. Lincoln. I will give you a satisfactory explanation!"
Mr. Gerrard instantly understood what kind of person he had provoked!
Before Liam could get angry, Mr. Gerrard begged for mercy in a hurry, his voice full of tears. "Mr. Liam,
I don't know this is an honored guest. He doesn't have an invitation, so I drove him out!"
Liam shouted angrily, "Stop arguing. We saw it clearly in the monitor. Mr. Lincoln said that he was
invited. This little girl also came forward to testify for him. You drove Mr. Lincoln out without asking
further."
"Take this man out now. Gerrard, come get your remaining wages tomorrow. Such a person doesn't
deserve to stay in DH Century Mall!"
Mr. Johnson and several security guards were a little stunned. It seemed that they could not accept the
reversal of the plot so quickly.
"What are you waiting for? Don't you want to do it?" Liam was so angry that he didn't like anyone.
"Mr. Liam, please listen to my explanation. Could you please forgive me this time? Please..." Mr.
Gerrard directly knelt down before Liam.
He had put in a lot of effort to get to his current position. His family and friends were proud of him, and
the salary package of DH Century Mall was really tempting in the entire Lanceham. If he was fired, he
really didn't know how to live in the future!
"Why didn't you think about the consequences when you did those stupid things? It's too late to beg me
now!"
"You guys, drive him out!" Liam roared at the security guard again.
"Get out!" Mr. Johnson gritted his teeth and carried Mr. Gerrard out with several team members.
After dealing with Mr. Gerrard, Liam put on a smiling face, looked at Atlas carefully, and asked, "Mr.
Lincoln, are you satisfied with the result?"
Atlas ignored Liam. Instead, he looked at Evelyn who was surprised, and said, "I said I was invited
here, but he didn't believe me."
Liam was ignored, but he was not pissed; in fact he felt relieved. Since Atlas said so, it proved that he
had no objection to the result.
Evelyn looked at Atlas and could not help but cover her mouth as she laughed. "They don't believe you.
I do."
Seamus stretched out his hand and made a gesture of invitation, saying, "Mr. Lincoln, since everything
is settled here, shall we go to see Mr. Shaw first?"
"Lead the way!" Atlas said.
"Please, this way!"
Seeing Atlas leaving with Seamus, the onlookers burst into an uproar.
