I'm Your Sister, Brother Chow

Chapter 28: The One She Relies On

Chapter 28: The One She Relies On

Chow immediately snapped back to his senses with just those three words.

He tried calming down his palpitating heart and looked at the girl in his arms.

Thanks to him, Vivian's thin school uniform was crumpled beyond recognition. It was an incredibly

arousing sight for everyone else in the room.

Her face was also wet with tears. Her picture of misery made everyone feel sorry for her. Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.

All the men here have now seen her dishevelled look.

The sudden realisation put Chow in another fit of rage.

Why?

It turned out exactly the way he'd pictured it in his mind, so why did it make him feel even angrier than

before?

His original intention was to embarrass Vivian further and shatter the last of her pride to remind her that

she was nothing more than a worthless b*tch to him.

He'd reached his goal, but instead of feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment, all he wanted to do

now was dig out the eyeballs of all the other men who dared to lay their eyes on her and wipe their

memories clean so they would never have learnt of Vivian's existence.

What was this foreign feeling inside of him?

Chow held onto Vivian's shoulders tightly. The weight of his hand was almost crushing her delicate

figure.

Vivian winced. She no longer knew whether she was feeling faint from the pain or the humiliating

situation she was in.

"You b*tch, how did you manage to seduce so many men with your stupid witchcraft?" Chow asked

Vivian fiercely.

Hearing his words, Vivian shuddered hard. She shook her head quickly in denial. "I didn't, Brother

Chow. I don't even want to be here. Please take me home!"

"Don't call me 'brother'!" Chow hissed fiercely, cutting her off. He glared angrily at Vivian before

releasing his grip on her. He then walked out of the room, leaving her behind on the sofa.

...

"Brother Chow!" Vivian cried out as she looked at his cold, retreating figure in desolation.

How could he leave her alone in such a dangerous place like this?

Did he really not care about her at all?

Vivian climbed across the sofa and tried to chase after him. However, her legs gave way and she

tumbled to the ground.

The men's eyes were all on her in an instant. A few of them even gulped thirstily as they looked at her.

One of the bolder ones smirked at her. "Hey, little girl, it seems like your brother doesn't want you

anymore. Why don't you play with us instead?"

His words made everyone laugh. Vivian was so scared that she curled up on the ground and hugged

her knees pitifully.

"Don't forget that she is still a guest at the Howard family," a voice suddenly spoke up. "If any one of

you dares to lay a finger on her, prepare to face the consequences."

Raylan suddenly stood up from his sofa and swept his gaze over the other men in the room. The

teasing laughter died down immediately.

Vivian lifted her head and looked at the man with grateful eyes.

She remembered him. He had come to the house for dinner once and introduced himself as Chow's

good friend. He had just returned from England recently.

Would she be safe with him?

Vivian's body subconsciously leaned towards him. He was the only hope she had left.

Raylan glanced at the pitiful girl at his feet with a complicated expression.

Finally, he took off his coat, placed it over her shoulders, and picked her up from the ground.

Vivian was not used to being held by anyone else other than Chow. She flinched instinctively when he

touched her.

Nonetheless, she knew that he was the only person she could rely on if she wanted to make it out of

this horrible place.

"Brother Raylan," she said uneasily.

She still remembered his name.

Raylan looked down to hide the emotion in his eyes and smiled kindly at her. "I'm sorry that you had to

cross paths with a bastard like Chow."

As soon as she heard Chow's name, Vivian felt tears prickling in her eyes again. She quickly looked

away.

She could still feel the effect that Chow had on her when he touched and kissed her just now. However,

in the next moment, she had been abandoned in this scary place without a thought.

She should really stop fantasising about him.

"Let's go. I'll take you home. You don't have to be afraid of me." Raylan's dimples appeared for a brief

moment as he carried Vivian to the exit.

However, just as he was about to reach the door, he heard swift footsteps coming from outside.

Chow suddenly reappeared at the door with a hostile expression. His narrow eyes were filled with

intense fury.
