He asked coldly, "Harper, is it that you can't put the word aside for a while even on a day like today?"

It was his birthday today.

Harper was stunned.

Several people in the house heard the noise and rushed out. Realizing the tense atmosphere, they quickly stepped forward and tried to separate Benjamin and Harper.

But Benjamin didn't move at all. He just kept staring at Harper.

After a long time, he said calmly, "Harper, you are really cruel."

Benjamin was pulled into the house by Larry and others, followed by Lauren. Harry asked two girls to stay with Harper.

The tall girl said, "Mrs. Martin, never mind. It's common for couples to quarrel. Just communicate with him and clear up the misunderstanding. It's not appropriate to talk about divorce!" Harper didn't respond. She just stood with a sullen expression.

After a long time, she calmed down and looked at the two girls. "I'm fine. Thank you. You can go in. I want to be alone for a while."

The two girls looked at each other, then nodded and walked into the house.

Harper sat alone on the stone bench in the garden in a daze, with Benjamin's expression in her mind.

She didn't know why she felt that his eyes were full of loneliness at that moment.

Harper frowned and thought for a long time, but she was still unable to relieve the depression in her heart.

That night, Benjamin, Larry, and the others played cards until dawn. Harper sat outside for a while and then returned to her room to sleep. When she woke up the next day, only Harry and two other girls were left in the villa.

Except for them, everyone else had returned to Mayby.

After breakfast, Harry drove his car to the door to wait for Harper. As for the two girls, Harry had already arranged a car to take them back.

Harper and Harry were riding in a car. No one spoke at first. After a while, Harry took the initiative to speak. "Did you quarrel with Benjamin last night?"

Harper just smiled, "It was not a quarrel."

Harry just smiled slightly and did not continue to ask. He said, "Everyone has their things that are beyond their control. What you see or hear sometimes may not be true." Harper looked sideways at Harry driving the car. Confused, she asked, "What are you implying?"

"I'm not implying anything. I'm just expressing my feelings," Harry smiled and didn't say more.

But these words were like a spell, making Harper more curious.

She thought, "Is what Harry implied related to Benjamin? Did he mean that Benjamin did something because it was beyond his control?"

But Harper just shook her head. After all, Harry also said that he was just expressing his feelings and was not really alluding to Benjamin.

Harry sent Harper back to the apartment, and Sophia called her at that moment.

Sophia said on the phone, "Ms. Mitchell, the representatives of Summit Realty are here. They wanted to know when we would resume the project." Harper frowned and responded calmly, "We can't make decisions on behalf of the Martin Group, so we can only wait now."

The project could not continue until Benjamin agreed.

But Sophia said, "Ms. Mitchell, they said that if we don't agree to resume the project, other projects of our company will not be continued."

They were undoubtedly forcing Harper to give an accurate reply.

Her face was sullen and a little solemn. After a few seconds, she spoke again. "I will contact Mr. Martin. Tell them that it will not be beneficial to anyone if we confront with an aggressive posture. The most important thing now is to find a way."
