I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 192

Chapter 192 Birthday

Frank responded in a low voice, "Don't worry, it's okay. It's just that Michelle has been making trouble recently. My parents can't do anything about her, so they asked me to go back and look after her." Harper also knew his sister Michelle.

She quickly said, "Okay, then you should stay with her. After all, you haven't seen her for so long. Is she about to graduate from college?"

"Yes, she'll graduate next year and then do an internship. I'll go back early tomorrow morning. You will have to deal with the company's work. If you need help, just call me. I'll be back in two days at most." Frank arranged it carefully, and his words were filled with concern.

Harper smiled and said, "It doesn't matter, you can spend more time with her."

The two chatted a few more about work matters, and the phone conversation lasted nearly five minutes.

Harper looked at the moonlight outside the window and admitted that the scenery here was indeed very good.

Then she put away her phone and turned back to the living room. Larry and the others were playing cards, accompanied by two other girls, but Benjamin and Lauren were missing.

She frowned slightly and had a mixed feeling for a moment.

She took out an exquisite gift box from her bag, which was a birthday gift she had prepared for Benjamin. She smiled bitterly and decided to give it to him anyway.© 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.

Anyway, this was the last time.

His next birthday had nothing to do with her.

She asked lightly, "Have you seen Benjamin?"

Larry said, "It seems that he went outside to answer the phone. You can have a look."

In the garden outside, Benjamin had just finished a call from his parents that gave him a birthday blessing and asked him to take good care of Harper.

He subconsciously thought of her answer during the Truth or Dare game.

Who was the man she just mentioned?

Was it her ex-boyfriend who made her desperate?

Well, he wanted to see what kind of man could make her pay so much.

The more Benjamin thought about it, the more he felt angry, and he looked extremely cold.

He put his phone in his pocket, and just as he was about to enter the house, he saw Lauren coming out from the other side. She came over with a gift in her hand and said, "Benjamin, happy birthday, this is a tie clip. It's not an expensive gift, but I think it suits you very well. I hope you won't dislike it."

Benjamin didn't move but looked at her, saying, "No need to prepare any gifts for me. I don't lack anything."

"Benjamin, I don't mean anything else. I just want to thank you for helping me find a doctor to treat my mother. If it weren't for you, I don't know what to do."

Benjamin's sullen face eased slightly, and he stretched out his hand to take the gift from Lauren. But the next second, Lauren suddenly stepped forward and hugged him. She stretched out her hand and hugged his waist tightly.

Benjamin reacted violently and his sound was low and displeased. "What are you doing?"

Lauren's voice was gentle. "Benjamin, I'm sorry, but I can't control myself. Because I love you too deeply, so I can't be as rational and calm as you. Just indulge me once today, okay?"

He frowned and looked gloomy. Just when he was about to push Lauren away, Harper's voice came from behind. "It seems that I had shown up at the wrong time and disturbed the two of you making out." Benjamin turned to look at Harper standing on the steps of the main entrance. She was staring at him with a cold face, without any other emotions or reactions.

He frowned tightly, pushed Lauren away, and glanced at Lauren coldly.

The latter quickly said, "Harper, you misunderstood. I did this, and it had nothing to do with Benjamin."

"Then should I praise you for your bravery?"

Harper smiled slightly, but she looked cold.
