I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 190

Chapter 190 Baby

Harper glanced at it, turned off the phone, got up, and went to the bathroom.

The atmosphere in the living room was very good. Harper didn't bother them when she came out of the bathroom. She went out of the door and sat on the swing in the garden. She closed her eyes and felt a little sleepy.

While she was enjoying the quiet moment, Lauren was slowly approaching and standing a few steps away from her, staring at her.

Harper opened her eyes the next second and met Lauren's eyes. Harper then frowned slightly and immediately got off the swing, wanting to enter the house.

Lauren immediately blocked her way and said with cold eyes, "Harper, you're so shameless to come to celebrate Benjamin's birthday. Didn't you hear the words we said in the hospital? Benjamin even tacitly agreed that he had married you just for a baby. Don't you understand or are you deceiving yourself?"

"So what?"

Harper gave her an indifferent look.

She said, "Do you want to have a child for Benjamin and me?"

"Don't you hope?"

Lauren's eyes dodged.

Harper stared at her straightly, with sarcasm in her words. "Lauren, don't you think having a child can solidify your relationship? You want a child but also want me to divorce him and stay away from him. Is it because you're not confident that he will have feelings for me because of the baby?"Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

"Don't talk nonsense. Benjamin won't fall in love with you."

Lauren snorted coldly and reacted slightly excitedly, but she never dared to look directly into Harper's eyes.

But Lauren's words also made Harper feel pain.

Benjamin wouldn't fall in love with Harper. No matter how Harper refuted Lauren, this had always been a weakness in her heart that she could not escape.

Harper squinted her eyes slightly and no longer looked depressed. Then she smiled and said, "Are you sure I am talking nonsense?"

Everyone had a casual lunch at noon and started barbecue in the afternoon.

Larry made food for everyone and said, "To thank Benjamin for taking care of me for many years, I am the cook today."

The crowd laughed, and then began to instruct him.

Harper didn't dare to eat more because she was pregnant, so she ate a little. Lauren noticed this and said deliberately, "Harper, are these not to your liking? Why don't you eat them?" She stared at Harper with a provocative smile.

Others also looked at Harper because of Lauren's words.

Harper knew why Lauren did this. She hoped to mislead everyone into thinking that Harper was a picky person.

Harper smiled calmly and said, "Ms. Davis, you did pay attention to me. Have you been staring at me?"

Lauren froze for a moment and said, "I just saw it accidentally. Harper, please don't misunderstand me."

"Really?" Harper stared at her with an indifferent look and said, "Ms. Davis, you're concerned about me. You even notice how much I eat."

These words immediately made Lauren look embarrassed.

But she persisted. "Just take it as a concern. After all, we are friends, but Harper, you haven't answered me why you eat so little. Do you think it doesn't taste good?"
