Maybe it was because Benjamin hadn't had sex with Harper in a long time. They had only kissed the last time they were in the car. So, from the moment his lips touched hers, he quickly felt a rush of excitement leap through his bloodstream.

Benjamin was a little out of control, so he forgot that they were still in the elevator at the moment.

As the elevator doors opened, a startled shout went up from outside the door. Harper was startled, and her face instantly turned red, her hands clutching Benjamin's shirt.

Benjamin didn't continue, but he didn't leave either. With him looking at her like that and with people outside, Harper was embarrassed to the core. She made all the effort she could to push him away and walked out with her head down in front of so many eyes in the doorway, darting back to the ward where Annie was and slamming the door behind her.

Benjamin watched her leave from the elevator, a hint of dignity emerging on his handsome, elegant face before he stepped out of the elevator.

Harper closed the door, her face reddening even more. Annie was surprised by such a big commotion and said, "Harper, what's wrong with you? Are there wolves chasing you behind?"

Looking at Annie, Harper lifted a hand and gently patted her face before whispering, "I'll order you takeout."

Annie nodded and looked at her still curiously. "What's going on?"

"Nothing."

"Really?"

"Yes."

Harper pressed her lips together and mentally cursed Benjamin.

After that, Harper didn't leave the ward again until Annie could be discharged in the afternoon.

Annie whispered, "Did Benjamin figure me out so quickly?"

Harper didn't say anything, just glanced at her faintly.

Curtis added, "Mrs. Martin, Ms. Jones can be discharged. Let me take you back!"

"No, we drove ourselves over here."

Curtis was a little anxious because Benjamin asked him to drive Harper and Annie home.

Harper read his thoughts and said faintly, "Tell him it is my will."

Curtis, still not leaving, said, "Mrs. Martin, let me walk you and Ms. Jones downstairs."

Harper didn't want to keep insisting, so she didn't refuse anymore.

The three of them rode down in the elevator. Annie leaned weakly on Harper's shoulder before taking Harper's arm and asking softly in Harper's ear, "So that look you had this morning was because you ran into Benjamin?"

Harper kept silent.

Annie added, "What did Benjamin do to you?"

Harper pressed her lips together, her expression a little cold.

Annie continued, "Did he kiss you? You were extra red in the face."

"Annie, try saying one more word!"

Harper glanced at her coldly, and then the atmosphere in the elevator was instantly quiet.

Curtis stood at the very front of the

elevator, pressing his lips together slightly not even daring to take a breath because he honestly thought what she'd just said sounded like Benjamin.

He thought, "So couples really do become more and more similar."
