I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 128

Chapter 128 Preparing for Pregnancy

Harper stopped asking for answers, which only served to humiliate her. She looked at Benjamin calmly and said, "I want to sleep."

He stared at her intently for a moment before releasing her chin and turning over to his original place.

With her back to him, Harper closed her eyes. In her depression, she did not feel sleepy, but suddenly, Julie and the doctor's instructions came to her. "Don't be sulky at this stage, and keep a happy mood, so the baby will be cute and smiling after birth."Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

So, she silently adjusted her state and emotions. After a while, she gradually fell asleep.

Listening to Harper's even breathing, Benjamin was slightly solemn and downcast. He stole a glance at her back. Indescribable feelings kept surging, as if something had passed through his heart.

It was a dreamless night.

When Harper woke up the next morning, Benjamin was still sleeping.

She didn't wake him up, got out of bed, and went to wash up.

Harper prepared some soup and bread. It was already nine o'clock in the morning when she finished, but Benjamin never got up. In the meantime, she had even secretly touched his forehead and found that his fever was gone.

She desired to rouse him from sleep, yet apprehensive of disrupting his rest, and she also fretted over his lingering fever. Consequently, Harper refrained from going to the company in the morning. Benjamin got up just before noon. Harper asked, "Would you like soup or spaghetti?"

They tacitly didn't mention what had happened last night.

He turned to Harper and said, "Either one will do."

"I'll heat some soup for you."

When one had a cold or fever, it would be comfortable to take light meals.

After Harper went to the kitchen, Benjamin walked to the sofa and sat down. He raised his hand and squeezed his eyebrows tightly, experiencing a slight dizziness and headache.

He fixed his eyes on the glass door of the kitchen and could see her busy inside. It was a scene he had never seen before.

Benjamin wondered if this was the picture of a couple leading a loving and peaceful life.

He was lost in thought, and the doorbell of the apartment rang at that moment.

Benjamin looked away and stood up to open the door.

"Harper..."

As soon as the door opened, Frank, standing outside, was eager to speak. However, upon realizing that the person who opened the door was Benjamin, he immediately fell silent. Benjamin narrowed his eyes slightly and glanced indifferently at Frank and the things in his hands. He said unkindly, "Mr. Parker, what do you mean?"

Frank was gentle. "Mr. Martin, won't you even let me in?"

"Do you think it's appropriate for you to enter a married woman's home?"

"Since you got married, why did Harper move out from Pineview Villa? Mr. Martin, what did you do to prompt her to insist on leaving?"

Frank showed a faint smile, and his words were very provocative.

He and Benjamin stared into each other's eyes, neither of them giving in.

The atmosphere became quiet for a moment before Benjamin said nonchalantly, "You're single. Of course, you have no idea how a couple can make up after an argument. As for why she moved out, do I have to report that to you? Mr. Parker, or do you want me to tell you clearly that this is how we have fun?"

Frank, embarrassed and cold, glared straight at Benjamin and restrained himself.

Benjamin was slightly startled. Squinting his eyes without flinching, he said indifferently, "Mr. Parker, it's not suitable for you to come here now, and please stay away from her. After all, we are preparing for pregnancy now. I don't want anyone to disturb or disrupt us at this time. Mr. Parker, do you understand?"

"What do you mean?"

Frank frowned.

Benjamin explained, "Don't you understand? Harper and I are planning to have a baby. She is about to be a mother."
