Chapter 1106: Did You Two Fight?
Maya and Kason saw Sandy sleeping and didn't linger. They instructed Brandon to take care of Sandy
before leaving the hospital. Sandy slept for quite a while, and Brandon remained by her bedside.
Suddenly, the phone on the nightstand rang, startling Brandon. He swiftly picked it up to avoid waking
Sandy, not even checking the caller ID, and walked out of the room.
It was Anthony on the other end of the line. Brandon was surprised to hear Anthony's voice and asked,
"Does Mr. Austi need something from Sandy?"
"Mr. Hawkins?" Anthony on the other end didn't expect Brandon to answer the call.
Brandon confirmed, "Sandy isn't feeling well and is sleeping. Does Mr. Austi need something?"
Anthony didn't actually have any urgent matters to discuss with Sandy. "Not really, just wanted to chat."
"Alright, when Sandy wakes up, I'll let her know to return your call." Brandon was polite and concise.
Anthony was taken aback by Brandon's response. He hadn't anticipated such a reply. After a few
seconds of silence, Anthony said, "Thank you. I won't bother you further."
As Anthony was about to hang up, Brandon's voice came through the phone, "Mr. Austi."
Anthony stopped, asking, "What's the matter?"
"Are you in Viteto?" Brandon asked in a hushed tone.
Anthony was a bit surprised by the question. "Mr. Hawkins, you're not having someone follow me, are
you?"
Brandon assured him, "No, nothing like that. Sandy hasn't been feeling well due to severe morning Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.
sickness. If it's convenient for you, could you come over and keep her company? She would appreciate
it."
Anthony didn't expect Brandon to make such a request. He was prepared for a warning to stay away
from Sandy. He hesitated for a moment, not sure how to respond.
Both parties fell silent. One was waiting for a response, and the other was still processing the surprise.
Finally, Brandon spoke first, "Mr. Austi, are you there? Of course, if you find it inconvenient, forget I
mentioned it."
Anthony regained his composure. "You're suggesting I come over and keep Sandy company?"
Brandon confirmed, "If you can, I'd appreciate it."
Without further ado, Anthony agreed, "Sure, I'll come over. Just give me the address."
Brandon provided the details, and Anthony said, "I'll be there tomorrow."
"Thank you."
After hanging up, Brandon sighed and pinched his brow. He then used Sandy's phone to call Jones,
asking her to book a room near the hospital. Once everything was arranged, Brandon returned to the
room.
Inside, Sandy was still asleep. Brandon didn't wake her, knowing that letting her sleep a little longer
would alleviate her discomfort.
Anthony arrived soon after. It had been less than half an hour since they hung up the phone.
Brandon went downstairs to greet him. "Mr. Hawkins."
"Mr. Austi."
They exchanged greetings before Brandon led Anthony upstairs.
Anthony had brought flowers and fruits that catered to Sandy's preferences. Brandon accepted the
offerings and brought Anthony into the room.
Upon entering, they found Sandy wasn't in bed but rather by the restroom, the sound of running water
audible.
Ignoring the greetings, Brandon swiftly entered the restroom, where Sandy was bent over the sink,
eyes reddened from vomiting.
In this moment, Brandon could only feel pity; there was nothing else he could do. After Sandy was
done vomiting, Brandon handed her a cup of water for rinsing.
He then helped her clean her face and asked softly, "Feeling better?"
Sandy nodded weakly. "Much better. Where did you go just now?"
"To pick up someone," Brandon explained, disposing of the damp towel in a nearby trash bin. He
helped Sandy out of the restroom.
Sandy, upon seeing Anthony seated on the nearby couch, seemed momentarily surprised. "Anthony?"
Anthony, too, was taken aback by Sandy's appearance. After all this time, he hadn't expected to see
her like this-so thin and pale.
"What's going on?" Sandy laid back on the bed. "Morning sickness, to the point where I'm questioning
my life."
Sandy said it with such a carefree tone that it was almost amusing. She then turned her gaze to
Anthony. "What brings you to Viteto?"
"I had some matters to attend to. Mr. Hawkins answered when I called your phone. He said you weren't
feeling well, so I came to check on you," Anthony explained without mentioning Brandon's request.
Sandy gave Brandon a fleeting look. "Are you done with your work?"
Anthony nodded. "Almost."
"Sandy, I'll step out for a moment. Talk to Mr. Austi in the meantime," Brandon whispered to Sandy.
Sandy agreed with a nod, and as Brandon left, she turned to Anthony. "Did you two fight?"
Anthony chuckled. "Do I strike you as the type who would lose his temper? Did Mr. Hawkins come to
warn me to stay away?"
