Morning came.
Sheri rose and went to the bathroom to freshen up. As she changed into his brother's sweatshirt pairing
it with jogging pants, she turned on the TV. The headlines were as expected. It was about her family.
She went back to where the TV is and watch.
"The Hoal Enterprise have gone bankrupt overnight. They just filed for bankruptcy early in the morning.
We are trying to get their statement but no one seems to come out from their mansion. Their attorney
as their representative announced that all their assets here will be sold, and the employees under the
company will be compensated."
Watching the news report made her smile. She turned off the TV, immediately packed her stuff and
walked out of the motel. She then discreetly looked for a computer shop to gain access to a PC. After a
while finding one, she fixed all her data to get money. She connected her account into one of the bank
wirings, and whoever is the owner of that account. Can pick up the money in a different shop or a bank
that had been wired from abroad. The bank was unknown, and only her or other people who wanted to
stay anonymous could get access to it.
The money could be traced from where it came from, however, they couldn't trace the origin or
otherwise would take them some time. She made sure that she would have enough money for a year.
Not everyone knows or has about that kind of method. Only rich people know it. The said transfer fee
costs a lot of a thousand dollars. For Sheri, it is considerably safer to pay that fee than to be traced.
She acted fast, and the next thing she made was to pick up the money. After securing the money, she
entered a salon and asked them to cut her hair short and color it with gray.
Meanwhile, in a high building, a man whose face couldn't be described was gripping the neck of
another man.
"You better find her and bring her to me or else your head will replace her." The man fiercely shouted
as he tightened his grip on the other man's neck.
The other man's face started to turn blue as he was already on the verge of losing his breath until the
grip was released at the last moment.
"Scram, and find her! Check everything even her family." The man roars. Who would have thought that
the Hoal Company, goes bankrupt overnight?
Out of a sudden, another man walked in. He looked at the man with a mad expression plastered on his
face as he wiped his hands with a towel. He didn't turn to look at the man who recently walked in.
"I thought you had her." The man asked the man who merely entered.
He shrugged.
"My men never knew she had the capability to even run."The man replied.
"Mr. Copper, thank you for your help, but I don't need you to deal with this. She killed my unborn child. I
will personally deal with her." The man said.
"You don't have to worry Mr. Goori. As a friend of your fiancée, I think I ought to help her out." Eric, the
other person who just entered the room, said.
Devon grimly stared at Eric. If it's not for Janice he would have annihilated the man in front of him. He
doesn't like that he always comes near to his fiancee.
Back at the salon, Sheri was done with a different appearance. She went out to buy a new phone,
some clothes and different kinds of sim cards. After changing in another motel, she went to a high rise
building.
At the salon. After Sheri fix her hair she went to buy a phone and clothes and different kind of sim
cards. She also check-in to another motel and after changing. She immediately walked toward the high
rise buildings. Positioning herself in a corner, she called the landline of the Goori.
"---Goori corporation. How can I help you?"
"Can you connect me to his secretary."
"Do you have an appointment Maám?"
"Tell them it's the Hoal. Sheri Hoal."
"Just a moment Maám"
Right when the receptionist heard the name of the caller, she immediately contacted her Supervisor.
Everybody knew about the Hoal enterprise in bankruptcy. It was not her business to stop or intervene
since there were no orders from above about not answering their call or entertain them.
The receptionist passed it toward the new secretary of Devon while Devon and Eric were starting
having an argument. The secretary barges and informed them, who is the caller.
Both men instantly stop, and Devon rapidly presses the receive button and the voice of Sheri came.
"Good afternoon Mr. Goori." When Devon heard her voice, two things happened to him. He felt angry
and sad.
"Why did you call?" He signals his secretary to trace the call.
"tsk! Say hi to Mr. Copper first I bet his angry. He didn't know I can escape. Anyway, Mr. Goori, I call to
tell you. Don't involve my family. I dare you to catch me. If you can. I am your enemy so here I am."
Sheri said and hung up the phone.
Right after the call, she removed the phone's sim card and destroyed it. She walked out from where
she's hiding and looked up at the high rise building. She knew that Eric was there because his car was
parked right outside the building. No one was allowed to park their car on the street in the exception of
an important person.
Hearing the beeping sound from the hanged up phone, Devon threw the phone on the window.
"Wait until I get my hands on you, " Devon angrily muttered as Eric kept his silence the whole time.
Eric was caught in his own thought as this is not the same Sheri he knew. The Sheri who once kept on
chasing him. She was actually stupid but learning her actions now, there seemed to be something
wrong. He couldn't point out what made her change?
Devon went towards the window and looked down at the wave of people walking. He combed his hair
with his hand. At that time in coincidence, Sheri was looking up and showed a middle finger towards
the building as Devon caught a glimpse of her.
Sheri gave one last smile, flagged a taxi and drove away.
Devon was flabbergasted. He turned to look at his secretary who was sweating in the corner, and gave
an order.
"Get me the CCTV footage in front of the building!"
The secretary was flustered but immediately called the security office. After a few moments, people
from the security office came carrying a laptop with them.
"Show me the video outside around 10 minutes ago," Devon commanded.
Eric on the side was curious when the security guard came. He wanted to see what made Devon so
angry again. The security guard moved fast and showed them a footage outside the building.
"Stop! There! Zoom in on that woman" Devon ordered.
Sheri had a mask on her face while giving a middle finger to him.
Eric was silent all the time looking at the covered face of Sheri.
"I want you to trace that taxi driver and where he dropped that woman," Devon gave another order.
They never knew that Sheri transferred from one taxi to another, and the last one she used was an
electric bike she just bought. It was still early but she needs to do her next move.
"System, Are you there?"
"Yes, host! Sorry I was a bit busy. The data are starting to clear once again. Something strange is going
on and I can't figure it out."
Sheri brows knitted together. NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.
"Hmm. Anyway, can you do me a favor and try to register me as the brand-new nurse in Xuen Hospital.
Of course with different names, etc.?"
"Yes, host, I can help! But it will be temporary."
"It's ok as long as I'm registered."
She went to the hospital were Janice was. She went directly to the place where the nursed throw their
uniforms and took one white coat. After fixing her appearance, in one of the rooms. She went next to
the nurse coffee room pretending to get a coffee.
"Hi! Are you new here?" A nurse came inside.
"Yeah" Sheri kept her cool.
"Oh, that's nice! You're so pretty, what is your name? I don't see any ID with you?" The nurse asked.
She didn't doubt Sheri because of the way she acted, and the way she presented herself as modest.
She didn't seem to be fake or an imposter.
"Oh that, I'm sorry. My name is Alexa. I was so nervous today that I lost my ID. I already requested a
new one. This was my first time in this hospital and I am a fresh graduate so everything was chaotic."
Sheri explained while looking straight in her eyes.
The woman believed her because her attire and appearance looked like she's a real nurse.
"That sucks! I knew that feeling but you'll be fine. Anyway if you need help, you can ask me." The
woman was kind enough to offer assistance.
"Oh thank you! Yes, and actually, can you help me with the patient portal? I need to be familiarized with
all the things on it." She timidly asked.
"Oh that's easy, come I'll show you."
They went to the desk for the nurses. Sheri smiled and introduced herself to the nurses. The woman
explained everything she needed help with making her successfully logging in. As she looked at the
list, she saw a VIP patient.
"I bet the VIP person is an artist," She exclaimed.
"Ah that, no. She fell at the stairway and according to the rumors, someone pushed her." The nurse
said.
"Oh, that is sad. I hope they can find whoever did that to her" She showed a sympathetic expression.
"Yeah, I hope so too. It seems like she has a connection with a high position in the hospital. He's
handsome but very scary according to the rumors." the nurse furtherly gossiped.
"Oh really, so how is the woman now?" She asked.
"She's okay. Her head has a stitch."
"Ok, this is the..." The nurse didn't finish what she was saying when suddenly someone is called them.
"We need to go! Someone needs our assistance. I will show you what to do there." The nurse said.
"Oh alright but wait, I need to make a few notes first. Go ahead, and as soon as I finish, I'll follow right
after."
The nurse agreed and nodded as she went to the room where they were needed. Sheri immediately
clicked on the patient portal of Janice and printed everything with all the findings and diagnosis. She
kept it in her pocket and followed the nurse.
After a few rounds around the hospital, Sheri said goodbye to the nurse who helped her. Her so-called
shift was done, and now she needed to escape. She went to retrieve her bag, luckily it was still there as
no one went to that room yet.
She picked up her bike and cycled to the motel she's staying.
