Chapter 7 The Audition

Margaret was rendered speechless. She was very glad that she wasn't having coffee at the time, or

else she would have definitely coughed them right into the man's face.

"I didn't think you'd have such an interest, Sir. But I didn't even open the wallet, so I definitely didn't see

any photos." Margaret said with a wry smile.

"Larry had gone through the airport CCTV and you are the only one who touched the wallet."

Charleston said impatiently, "Just name your price and hand over the photo."

"Name my price?" Margaret thought to herself, and was confused.

"Did this man think she was blackmailing him?" She continued thinking.

"Was the photo the only thing you lost?" Margaret asked.

Charleston frowned slightly. He didn't understand what this woman meant, but he still nodded.

Margaret continued sarcastically, "So, are you implying that, instead of stealing your credit cards and

cash, I only took a photo from your wallet? Do you think I'm that stupid?"

Charleston's handsome face was cold and distant. "Maybe seeing that photo piqued your interest." He

said.

Margaret went totally speechless again.

"Dude, I'm not blind!" Margaret said as she stood up and took a look at the time. The audition was

about to begin. "I still have things to do, so I can't waste time being crazy with you here." She said as

she was about to leave.

Charleston immediately grabbed Margaret's wrist and said grimly, "Stop right there."

Margaret gave Charleston a hard bite on his hand.

D*mn it, was she a woman or a dog?

Charleston quickly withdrew his hand.

Margaret feigned disgust at him and quickly fled the scene.

The audition was going to start very soon and she didn't want to be late because of this madman.

Margaret was long gone by the time Charleston rushed out of the cafe. He asked Larry, "Where is that

woman?"

"It seems like Miss Simons is heading towards the theater." Larry answered.

"The theater?" Charleston murmured.

"Well, yes. A small commercial movie invested by Limbaugh Group is holding an audition there." Larry

explained. NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.

Margaret walked hurriedly into the theatre.

When she pushed the door open, all the people inside the theatre turned their heads to look at her.

"Excuse me, I'm here to audition for the character, Tiana." Margaret bowed to greet everyone.

"You're late to an audition? Which company are you from?" the displeased assistant director

questioned.

"I'm from Galaxy Entertainment." Margaret answered.

She was not really late. There was still one minute to 11 o'clock.

"Get in line." The deputy director said, visibly unhappy with Margaret.

Margaret got a card with the number "9" written on it.

This meant that she was the ninth person to audition for the role.

"Ancient Star" was a short clip for a jewelry advertisement. It was to promote the new jewelry pieces by

an international jewelry company, where the designs were inspired by Haverland's traditional culture.

Although it was only a short advertisement, it was still a promising chance to shine on an international

stage.

Ancient Star was meant to advertise two main jewelry pieces. One was the main character's white jade

pearl necklace, and the other was her rainbow azure jewelry.

The supporting character was Tiana, which had a incomparably charming and seductive personality.

There were a lot of beautiful people in the entertainment industry, but not many people could fall within

these two categories.

Since the jewelry company already handed over the important task of selecting the actors, it was the

duty of the deputy director to get the right talent. He had gone through and evaluated several female

celebrities for the audition, but none had met his expectations.

"Next." the deputy director said, sounding a little impatient.

The 8th participant for the audition was Chloe Young, who had a pair of beautiful and seductive eyes.

Her appearance really did suit the role.

She stood on the stage and started to pose with great charm.

However, the deputy director was still unsatisfied. "Next," he said.

It was Margert's turn. She bowed to the judges.

"Whenever you're ready." the deputy director instructed.

Upon hearing the deputy director's instruction, Margaret immediately got in character and her gaze

started to shine with a different kind of aura.
