Lucas couldn’t help but smile when he saw Belinda. He turned to Johnson and said, “Belinda is here.”

“Aren’t you going over to say hello?”

Carmelita barked out a humorless laugh. “Nothing? If that’s true, then you wouldn’t have gone on a date with him! I’m aware that Mrs. Thomas and Mr. Clark have been trying to set you up with potential matches. I don’t care whom you date, but it can never be my brother! You’re a divorced woman, and your ex-husband is none other than Lucas Clark! He and my brother have always had a good relationship. If my brother ends up with you, how do you expect him to face Lucas in the future? People would talk behind our backs. My family would become a laughingstock!”
