Chapter 3160
Taken aback, Mr. Woods paused.
Lucas' mother did not continue further, so he followed Ivy outside; his gaze on Ivy had softened significantly.
"Have you found your biological parents?" Mr. Woods asked Ivy.
Ivy nodded.
"Do your biological parents have a lot of money?" he continued.
Ivy nodded again.
Mr. Woods breathed a sigh of relief. "Apart from Lucas, you haven't been involved with men, right?"
Ivy nodded once more.
A smile graced Mr. Woods's face. "That's great, Irene. I believe you're a good child. After all, you worked for our family in the past, and I trust you. Moreover, you and Lucas have spent time together. You are a good-looking young lady, and your family's circumstances are good, so I won't stand in the way of your relationship. When you have the time, bring your family over, and let our families meet and have dinner together!"
"I come from Aryadelle," Ivy replied.
Mr. Woods was surprised. "Huh? You're from Aryadelle? That's quite far from here!"
"Yes," Ivy confirmed.
"In that case, take your time to talk things over with Lucas. If you decide to get married, both sets of parents should meet and discuss it," Mr. Woods advised.
"I understand," Ivy said.
The more Mr. Woods looked at Ivy, the more satisfied he felt with her. "I didn't notice it before, but you're really beautiful! No wonder Lucas likes you."
Ivy responded with a polite smile and chose not to say anything. She was well aware that Lucas did not have a good relationship with his father, so she kept her interactions with Mr. Woods minimal. After Mr. Woods left, Ivy and Caspian left the hospital as well.
In the evening, Caspian, Lucas, and Ivy had dinner together.
Caspian animatedly recounted the day's events to Lucas. "You can't imagine your stepmother's expression when she saw Ivy buying that bag. It was priceless!" Caspian exclaimed. "And your father's visit to the hospital-Initially, he wanted to talk to your mother about vy, but Ivy was in the room, so your father had a friendly chat with Ivy instead."
Lucas turned to Ivy. "What did he say to you?"
Caspian chimed in, "I overheard everything! Your father wants to arrange a meeting with Ivy's parents to discuss your marriage."
Lucas' expression grew colder.
"That's not it. Your dad didn't
mention anything about getting
married. He thought that I was from

invite my family out for a meal," Ivy said.
"Ignore him from now on," Lucas said. "Even if I am to get married, I don't plan on inviting him."
"Sure. I didn't want to talk to him. He came to your mom's room, and I didn't want him to bother her, so I invited him out to talk," Ivy said. "All right."
"Lucas, don't get upset with Ivy. She bought your mom a lot of gifts, and your mom was over the moon.d've never seen her laugh like that before," Caspian said.
Lucas turned to Ivy and muttered awkwardly, "Thank you."
"Since your family now considers me your girlfriend, you don't have to thank me for these things," Ivy said.
Lucas fell silent, and Caspian poured him a glass of beer. "Don't overthink this, Lucas. Just work hard and make sure you are worthy of Ivy!" Lucas picked up the glass and downed the beer.
Upon returning to the hotel, Ivy lay in bed, feeling too exhausted to shower.
Deciding she would play with her phone for a while before heading to the bathroom, she picked it up.
As soon as she unlocked it, she spotted a message from Shelly.
