Chapter 67- Acceptance

Flashback

(Abhinav is sitting in front of his mother's photo and crying his eyes out. He is sharing his feelings with

his mother. It's the only place where he shows his true feelings.

" Ma, I don't know, Devika will forgive me or not. Every day I am breaking," Abhinav told his mother with

a painful voice.

As usual, his mother is silent and saying nothing. Though she is silent but Abhinav could feel his

mother's presence everywhere. He believes that his mother is always with him.

" Ma, I am not understanding what I should do. Without Devika, I always feel empty. I feel alone,"

Abhinav told his mother and burst into more tears.

Then he said punching on the nearby wall," Everything is my fault, ma. I am a failure. I am sure that

you are ashamed of me because of my actions. I am sorry, Ma. I am really sorry."

" I shouldn't have done those horrible things to Devika," Abhinav said with his trembling voice and

punched the wall very hard.

He punched so hard that his knuckles started bleeding. But, the pain in his hand is nothing in front of

his heart's pain. Without Devika, his condition is getting worse. He is completely depressed without

Devika.

Abhinav is still crying when he heard Arnav's voice from behind. He turned his face behind and found

Arnav at the door.

Arnav called him," Abhi bhai.'

Arnav eyes became widened seeing his brother's crying face and bloodied knuckles. He felt very sorry

for his brother.

" Bhai, what happened to you? You are bleeding," Arnav said worriedly and held Abhinav's hand.

Abhinav wiped his tears and said sadly," Leave me, Arnav. I deserve all this."

" Have you lost your mind? You don't deserve this type of depressing life," Arnav said assuring his

brother.

This time Abhinav couldn't control his emotions anymore and asked Arnav," I am breaking, Arnav.

Devika's ignorance towards me is giving me immense pain every time."

" Calm down, bhai. Calm down," Arnav said consoling his brother who is crying like a kid for his love.

Abhinav said taking a deep breath," Devika will never forgive me. Nor she will ever love me."

The pain in his voice isn't unnoticed by Arnav. He felt very hurt seeing his brother like that. He

understood that he has to do something for his brother's well-being.

" What if I say that Devika loves you," Arnav told Abhinav dropping a bomb inside his head.

Abhinav frowned his brows and asked confusingly," What are you talking about?"

" Devika loves you, bhai. She may not say anything by her mouth. But, her eyes can't hide her feelings

for you," Arnav said chuckling.

Abhinav said letting out a sarcastic laugh," You are joking. Devika will never love me."

This time Arnav laughed loudly and said," She loves you, bhai. She is just afraid to confess her

feelings. Moreover, she is still insecure about this relationship."

" If it's true. Then, what I should do to make her confess that she loves me. I just can't take all this

emotional pain anymore," Abhinav asked Arnav with his most painful voice.

Arnav sighed and asked Abhinav chuckling," Hmm. We have to do some acting to make her confess."

" Acting?" Abhinav asked Arnav surprisingly.

And after that, Arnav told him about this fake accident drama. Abhinav wasn't ready for this acting. But,

Arnav's pressure convinced him finally. Arnav told his plan to Apeksha and she also agreed to help

Abhinav.)

Flashback ended

Arnav has narrated the whole story and Devika is looking at him with an open mouth.

She said pouting," you both have fooled me! I am angry with you."

" If we didn't fool you then you would have still cried your eyes out soaking the pillow," Apeksha said

mocking and everyone laughed including Devika.

Suddenly, Arnav said playfully looking at Apeksha," I think we should leave the cabin for some time. I

am sure Devika has many things to talk with bhai. Didn't you hear what she was saying a few moments

ago?"

This time Devika's cheeks become red like tomato and Abhinav only chuckled seeing Devika's

reaction.

After that, Arnav and Aleksha left the cabin leaving behind an embarrassed Devika.

No sooner had, they left the cabin Abhinav hugged Devika and started crying. Devika also hugged

back and feeling Devika's response to the hug Abhinav tightened his hug.

"I am very happy today. Finally, you have accepted me wholeheartedly. I am so glad," Abhinav said

Devika also cried and said caressing his back," Don't cry. I have forgiven you. I am happy that finally, I

have shared my feelings with you."

Abhinav and Devika parted from the hug and now both are looking at each other's eyes with too much

love.

Devika said pouting," You have tormented me so much. And now, for the rest of your life, you have to

take care of me. You have to consider me as your queen."

Abhinav chuckled hearing her cute demands. He kneeled in front of her holding her both hands.

He kissed her knuckles and started promising," I will always love you with my whole heart. I will always

take care of you and cherish you. I will always fulfil your every demand. I will never hurt you even with

my talking. You will be my queen."

Devika smiled innocently hearing Abhinav's promises. Before she could say anything Abhinav said

taking out the mangal sutra(nuptial chain) from his pocket," Will you be my wife again? Will you marry

me?"

It's the same mangal sutra that Devika used to wear. Abhinav always carries it with him so that he can

feel that Devika is with him.

Devika took the mangal sutra in her hands and said yes nodding her head.

Now, Abhinav's happiness reached its peak and he is feeling like he is on cloud nine. He hugged

Devika and then kissed her forehead. He said lovingly," Thank you so much for accepting me. Thank

you so much for everything."

After some hours the other family members come to meet Abhinav and become surprised seeing him

completely fine and also with Devika. Abhinav told everything to his family members and they are

happy about Abhinav and Devika.

After one week

Devika's p.o.v

My life was a total roller coaster for me. I never thought that my life will turn like that. I never imagined

that I will ever fall in love with Abhinav. I have forgiven him because he has regretted for years and only

loved me. People said that time can heal any kind of scar and I think they are right.

Time has healed my every scar from my heart. And I have fallen in love with a person who is kind,

humble and a good human being. He is not the beast anymore. I have always wanted a happy life and

finally, I have found it. I don't want to remember all those painful memories again. I want to make happy

memories with my family.

Yesterday, we got married again and this time our wedding was a grand wedding. Many renowned

people were invited and also the press was there. My dream of getting married with every celebration is

now fulfilled.

It's night time and I am checking my kids that they are asleep or not. And yes, they are sleeping

peacefully in their room.

After that, I returned to our bedroom. This room's interior is fully changed per my demands as I don't

want to remember all those painful memories again. Abhinav is fulfilling my every demand and treating

me like a real queen.

His soft and emotional side always make my heart beat fast. In this one week, I have felt that level of

love and pamper which I never felt in my life.

In this one week, I have seen the best side of Abhinav as a husband. He respects me, loves me and

treats me like I am his everything. Finally, I am happy finding love with him.

By the way, where is this man? The whole room is empty. Where has he gone?

Uhh!! I know where is he right now. He must be upset right now and crying his eyes out.

Without wasting any time, I walked towards my mother-in-law's room and found Abhi standing in front

of his mother's photo.

I heard his crying sound and I am sure he is remembering all those bad memories again.

He said crying," Ma, I am sorry that I couldn't save you at that time. I am sorry."

Then, he rested his head on his mother's photo and said with a trembling voice," Ma, Sometimes I

really wish to meet you. Sometimes I really wish to sleep on your lap. Sometimes I really want to eat

from your hand. I miss you ma."

Seeing his crying, I also felt that my cheeks are wet. He has suffered so much because of my mother. I

can not even imagine what's his mother felt all those years when everybody betrayed her.

I can't even imagine the cruelty which he has seen. If I were in his place then I wouldn't have survived.

I rested my one hand on his shoulder and he becomes startled. He wiped his tears and asked me

smiling," When did you come here?"

" Cry as much as you want. You don't have to hide your feelings in front of me," I said cupping his face

in my palm.

And, the next moment he hugged me tightly and started crying like a child. He said hiccupping,"

I......am......missing......her..... I am.....feeling.....like.....to.....meet.....her"

" She is seeing you, Abhi. I am sure she wants to see you smiling not crying. I know very well that she

wants to see you happy always," I said trailing my fingers on his back.

After consoling him for almost 20 minutes he is now a little bit relaxed. We are now sitting on the floor

near his mother's photo.

He is resting his head on my shoulder holding my one hand tightly. He said with a blank tone," Devika, I

am still afraid that you will leave me alone."

" Why you feel like that?" I asked him timidly.

He said snuggling more into me," I still can't believe that you are with me. I still can't believe that you

love me."

Next moment I hold his face and smashed my lips on his lips making him surprised. I kissed him briefly

and he also responded.

" I love you, Abhi. I will never leave you until death does........." I couldn't complete my sentence when

he pressed his index finger on my lips and said widening his eyes," Don't take death's name. I don't

want to lose any of my loved ones."

I smiled hearing him and hugged him tightly. He also hugged me back hiding my small figure in his

broad embrace.

After that, we returned to our room when he was carrying me in bridal style making me shy.

He said smiling," I love your shy reaction whenever I became close to you. You look more innocent

when you become shy."

I am feeling so shy that I am not finding the courage to look into his eyes. I heard him chuckling and he

placed me on the bed softly.

He hovered over me and said with a naughty voice," Tonight, I will love you so much that you will crave

for this love every day."

I am looking in another direction and I am sure my cheeks are totally red now. He makes me look into

his eyes and said softly," Love comes from the eyes, Devika. You have to see me whenever I make

love to you. Otherwise, you will not feel the heavenly feeling of being loved."

I obliged him and for the first time in my life, I felt so much happiness during intimacy. He made gentle

love to me and I also responded making this night a memorable night for both of us.
