His Destructive, Toxic Love

Chapter 307

In the top-floor office of a towering skyscraper, Nova was beaten black and blue, but her face remained untouched. Casper had arranged it this way. He still had plans for her and wasn't ready to let her die just yet. Dillon revived the barely conscious Nova with cold water and removed the tape from her mouth.

"You understand Mr. Casper's instructions, right? If there's any hint of trouble from Aaron's side, you report to us immediately, or else..."

Nova weakly nodded, her eyes lifeless. "I... I understand."

Dillon looked at her with satisfaction, then turned to Casper. "Mr. Casper, should we send her back now?"

"Take her to buy some clothes and get her cleaned up properly."

Dillon nodded. "Yes, sir."NôvelDrama.Org content rights.

Nova was then stuffed into a sack and carried out by two men in black.

Meanwhile, Eliza was about to take the elevator down when she saw it going up and decided to follow it upwards.

The elevator doors opened, and she looked up to see Dillon.

Dillon's eyes flashed with surprise, but he quickly regained his composure and nodded politely. "Ms. Valerie, what a coincidence."

"What's this...?" Eliza asked, unsure of what was in the sack but suspecting it was a person.

Dillon smiled lightly. "Just something unimportant."

If it was unimportant, Eliza didn't press further. After the two men in black entered the elevator, Dillon followed them in.

"Ms. Valerie, what brings you to Welton International?" Dillon asked.

"Meeting someone," Eliza replied.

"Here to see Ms. Caroline?"

She didn't respond, but that was answer enough.

After reaching the ground floor, the two men with the sack walked out, and Dillon gave her a slight bow before following them.

Eliza stepped out of the Welton

sedan slowly stopped in front of her.

A man got out of the driver's seat. She looked up and saw it was Aaron. She involuntarily stepped back, eyes filled with wariness.

Aaron wore his signature gentle smile, yet it carried an indiscernible depth. "Are you alright?" Aaron asked.

"Don't come any closer." She stepped back again, maintaining a safe distance, and warned, "Aaron, you better stay away from me."

"What's gotten into you?" His face was a mix of helplessness and confusion as if bewildered by the sudden warning.

"Stop pretending, Aaron." She looked at him coldly, her lips curling in scorn and disgust.

He frowned slightly, seemingly hurt. "You think I had something to do with your son's fall?"

"Isn't it obvious? Here you are, still playing innocent, Aaron. Aren't you tired after all these years? What were you thinking orchestrating such a grand scheme?" "Eliza, you..."

Aaron hadn't expected to unravel

everything so quickly. But she felt it was about time. It was not much of a surprise. His slight regret was that Eliza and Casper's son hadn't died this time.

"I plot and scheme, but your cooperation was essential, wasn't it?" Aaron said.

Her brow furrowed in confusion. "Cooperation? What have I cooperated with him on? Having Casper's child? Or moving to Oak Falls?" she wondered. "Aaron, you're a terrifying person."

"Thanks for the compliment." His lips curved into a smile, but it was sinister.

“You orchestrated me and Casper's first meeting after three years. If you had a feud with Casper, you could have dealt with him directly. Why do you drag unrelated people into this?"
