His Destructive, Toxic Love

Chapter 195

"Why'd you need to meet?" His eyes were deep and intense, never leaving her face.

Nova swallowed hard, her heart pounding. "It's just... When Rose was declared brain dead, he came to me, wanting to use her organs. We talked about the price."

Casper's gaze tightened slightly. "And then?"

"Then... I didn't agree." Suddenly, Nova dropped to her knees in front of Casper, clutching his legs as she started to sob. "Casper, Rose was my mom. Even though she was brain dead, I couldn't believe she was truly gone. How could I use her organs? Besides, you have the means to find a suitable donor for me. I didn't need to do that, right?"

He looked down at her, silently gazing into her tear-stained eyes. Her explanation seemed full of sincerity, every word fitting together logically and flawlessly. But why couldn't he trust her completely? "Nova," he began slowly, his voice deep and serious, "I hope you remember not to deceive me. You know the consequences of lying to me are something you can't handle."

Nova nodded lightly, pressing her face against his knee as if seeking some comfort and protection. Her tearful eyes were filled with endless sorrow and earnestness. "Casper, you know," she choked out, "I could lie to anyone, but never to you. Because you're the last person I would want to hurt in this world."

Something in his heart stirred, but it was quickly swallowed by a mix of complex emotions.

"Why did you send that message, leading Eliza and Aaron to the hotel for the paparazzi to catch them?" He lifted her chin, his gaze searching. "What was your purpose? Tell me." Nova's eyes trembled slightly. Casper had found out the truth so quickly?

She took a deep breath, gently wiping away her tears, a bitter smile tugging at her lips. "What else could it be?"

"It's just my deep obsession with

you. I couldn't stand the flirtation et

between Eliza and Dr. Martin. Ie

wanted to teach them a lesson on your behalf, to vent your anger." Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

Her voice was low, tinged with sadness, yet filled with an indescribable persistence and deep love.

Casper leaned back on the couch, a

him. He took out a cigarette, litat, and inhaled deeply. "Don't ever do

such foolish things." Conte

"I won't." She gently rested her face on his leg like a fragile, dependent bird. "Casper, when can we truly be together? My health is gradually recovering, and I sincerely hope to have children with you."

Children?

He had never really thought about it. To be precise, he had never considered such a future with Nova.

Irritably taking a couple of drags from his cigarette, he stood up. "Get some rest. I need to go."

"Won't you stay?" She hurriedly grabbed his hand, almost pleading. "Stay with me, please?"

"Work calls."

He didn't elaborate further, standing up to leave.

After Casper left, Nova picked up her phone, calling a mysterious organization. "Take care of those two people."
