His Destructive, Toxic Love

Chapter 171

"Give it back to her?" Casper stood up and marched over to Eliza, glaring at her. "Do you think the company's documents are just toys for you to play with?"

She kept backing up until her lower back hit his broad desk. "Mr. Casper, you really have a knack for twisting people's words."

He sneered. Despite his alluring and affectionate eyes, a chill went down her spine when he looked at her.

He grabbed her waist, leaning in to kiss her.

She dodged. His lips brushed past her earlobe and landed in her hair.

Casper shrugged it off and turned to grab his coat from the rack. "I've invited some big names from the literary and art community today. You're an expert, so accompany me for some networking." "Just that?"

He raised an eyebrow. "There are some minor details regarding the collaboration with David that need finalizing. Your presence will smooth things over."

Ah.

So it was because David would be there that he wanted her company.

Casper always used people to the fullest. She was no exception.

Eliza was pretty annoyed. "It's work hours now."

"Accompanying me is also part of the job." He didn't give her a chance to refuse, lifting his hand to press the intercom. "Faithe, bring the revised supplemental contract and wait for me in the garage."

Eliza had no choice but to follow.

In the car, they sat side by side. He glanced at her several times. Feeling the intensity of his gaze, she turned her face slightly away.

"Ding."

Eliza's phone rang. She reached for her phone, barely unlocking the screen, when Casper snatched it from her grasp.

It was a message from Aaron. [Has Casper been making things difficult for you?]

The message made Casper furious. He threw the phone away in a fit of rage.

"You..." Eliza bent down to pick up her phone, only to be grabbed by the neck and pulled back up to face him.

He snatched the phone back, held

her head, and kissed her, snapping a

photo in the process. Then, he

tossed her aside and sent the photo to Aaron.

Eliza managed to get her phone back, but it was too late to retract the message. "You're insane."

"He's not insane? I think you're both seriously sick. Do you think I'm dead or something?" Casper yelled. She was too angry to bother with him.

Just then, Faithe opened the car door and slid into the passenger seat. "Mr. Casper, shall we go now?"

"Why aren't we leaving? Do we plan to spend the night in the garage?"Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.

Faithe was confused. Did Eliza upset him again?

The drive took about an hour and a half to reach their destination.

They were at a seaside villa. The sea

and sky were clear blue, and the villa's

white curtains fluttered in the

breeze. The air was filled with a gentle, romantic atmosphere.

This place was chosen because the literary and artistic experts loved such atmospheres.

The guests had started to arrive. Everyone was having a great time, engaged in lively conversations, and toasting each other.

David had arrived early. Hearing that Eliza would be coming, he postponed important work just to meet her.

The laid-back environment had him dressing casually, making him seem more approachable.

"Mr. Casper," David greeted politely.

Casper nudged Eliza forward. "I've brought Ms. Eliza here. Let's settle the contract issues today."

"I'll have a good talk with her."

Faithe handed over the

supplemental contract. "Mr. David, this is the supplemental contract. you need to change anything, just let Ms. Eliza know. We've got a printer here, and Mr. Casper even brought the company seal."

"You guys have thought of everything."

"Then we won't disturb you and Ms. Eliza." Faithe turned to Casper. "Mr. Casper, some famous artists have arrived. You should go and greet them."
