Chapter 36 Suburban life
“We should really get going.”
“Do we have to? We could always cuddle?” Ian pulled her body flat to him several times already. He was not letting her go, and it was making Blair laugh at him and his childish attitude.
“They’re going to send someone here to come and get us. We might as well go now so we can come back sooner and get back to cuddling? up to you, because I’m aiming for something for sexy.”
She giggled when Ian was on top of her and started kissing her behind the ear. He knows she’s ticklish and he knows it would arouse her in seconds.
“You know… I think I’ve just created a little vixen. You are so naughtily beautiful…” he reached between her legs and sneakily slipped his fingers. She grabbed his arm feeling his sexy play only to be pulled out when she was feeling the heat.
“You’re right, we should get going. And no baby, don’t change your panties. I want to know that you’re still wet under there.” He licked his fingers clean from her arousal and walk to the bathroom and leave her squirming in the middle of the bed.
“You are a mean man.” She said when they reached the Dubois family ranch.
“Yeah? but I’m your mean man. And I love you.” He pecked her cheek quickly and squeezed her sexy covered jeans ass making her gasp.
“Ian!” she warned him by smacking his hand away.
“Yes, my love?”
They were looking like a couple in love, flirting and giggling when they entered the spacious back yard where they would all gather for any special occasion.
“Oh my God! There they are! JACK! SAM! they’re here!” Celia was waving from the grand outdoor kitchen at Blair and Ian, while her other hand was slapping Danny’s that was trying to steal a taste of her cooking.
“Danny! go get their drinks! you will eat with the rest of us.”
“You are one mean chef. I was simply tasting it, see if it needed me more spices.” Danny grumbled but walk to the fridge and get beers for their guests.
“Henry. How are you?” Blair let go of Ian’s hold and hugged Celia’s dad. He had always been a father figure for her growing up. And she knows he was disappointed in her for not inviting him to her wedding.
“Blair, ma chérie. Please no tears, let the past sorts itself okay? now, Celia said you have good news to share with the rest of us?” The old man was looking straight at Ian, then back at Blair. He was not liking the view of Blair with another man so soon, but he didn’t say anything in front of her.
“Henry, this is Ian. Ian…”
“I’m her fiance, just asked her to marry me this morning.” Ian looked into his eyes and shook his hand in one firm grip. Henry may be old but taking care of horses on his farm made him a force to be reckoned with.
“You know when you marry her, you are going to be married to this whole family? we’re not letting it happen again.” Henry said to Ian with a straight face and Ian nodded in return.
“Blair, your mother is gone now, and it’s my duty to look after you and so will the boys. I’m not letting you down, not again.” Henry hugged her again, up until two shirtless men showing serious abs in their low-rise jeans and cowboy hats were whistling to Henry.
“Stop hogging her old man, it’s our turn to welco…”
“Not a step further.” Ian was in front of Blair in seconds. He was not letting two half-naked men hug her, didn’t care if they grew up together. Still not happening.
“What the fuck dude!” Jack, the tall temperamental cowboy was the first one to lose his cool.
“Is this him?” Sam asked Celia, who was smiling as she was liking to see the protective side of Ian.
She remembered when she saw Benjamin years ago when they met for the first and last time. Benjamin was mad at Blair for letting Danny hug him.
But seeing Ian, he was not mad at Blair. He was actually mad at the boys and was ready to punch some cowboys.
“Okay, boys enough! Jack, Sam this is Ian Blair’s fiance. The person who I’m cooking for tonight. He’s here for an introduction, so play nice or you can skip dinner.” Celia was acting like the lady of the house, while her dad was looking proudly at his youngest. He was liking how all the boys were backing down to her words, while years ago this image was far from his imagination, Celia had come a long way.
“I can’t believe you grew up with them. Now I need to piss all over the place just to mark my territory with these guys. Damn, I haven’t even bought you a ring.”
“Ian, you… I just need you. Please don’t screw this up. I love you. Okay?”Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
“I guess so. Maybe, you should kiss me so they know that you’re really in love with me.” He smiled wickedly at her.
“Okay, now you’re just asking for it.” She playfully slapped his chest but tipped her toes and reached up to kiss him. He smiled at her kiss and pulled her closer while Danny and Celia were whistling in the background.
“Okay! we got it! you’re a couple. I’m going to shower now, see you in a bit.”
Sam laughed at Jack who was not liking the situation but follow him inside after kissing Celia and telling her that he was going to freshen up before dinner. Jack the oldest of the guys had been very temperamental lately and everyone knew that it was because of his woman, Hannah.
Dinner went great, and the men headed to the lounge area as they questioned Ian further. While Blair was getting her woman talk with Celia.
“So, how are you holding up? he’s not rushing you right?”
“No, he’s busy with work. He just wants me to be his forever. And I don’t want him to rush me into his life. I think I want to spend a couple of months here, I need to be with people that I know.”
“Oh Blair, I’m here for you buddy.” Celia hugged her, and they were still talking about their plans when Ian came up to them.
“Are you ready to go back?”
“Eh… yeah I guess, we could talk more tomorrow.” She was surprised when Ian asked her since Benjamin never did that, he usually told her that it was time to go.
They both leave after promising Celia that she’d be there tomorrow for lunch. Henry hugged her and patted Ian’s back.
“You’re welcome here anytime Blair, as for Ian bring me some fine whiskey from the city next time.”
Celia rolled her eyes, knowing that her dad has a certain liking for Ian to even ask him to come again, and bring him the one drink that he seems couldn’t live without.
“Sir, it would be my pleasure. I actually know a guy who imports the good ones.”
Both men laughed and shook hands, then Ian took Blair’s hand in his and they walked back to her mother’s.
“So, that went well.” He whispered as he kissed her cheek and draped his arm to her shoulder. While she smiled at him and snaked her hand to his waist.
Along the way she kept on thinking how would she tell Ian that she was not coming back to live with him. Not yet.
