HER POSSESSIVE HUSBAND

CHAPTER 11

CHAPTER 11

Karina was leaving today, so I had decided to drop her at the airport with the driver.

"Bye Karina, I hope you visit us sometime again and next time you need to stay for a long time"

Ridwan explained with his hands in his pocket, standing in front of the door with Ayo beside him as I

helped Karina with her box into the car.

"Yes, I will" Karina smiled looking back at Ridwan after dropping her last bag in the boot of the car.

"Bye, Aunty Karina" Ayo said with a wide smile on her face.

"Bye dear," Karina said as Ayo walked towards her and immediately engulfed herself in Karina's

arms for an embrace.

I opened the car door letting myself in and as Karina released herself from Ayo, she also entered

into the back seat. Karina waved at Ayo and Ridwan as the driver started the engine of the car and

drove off.

I looked down at the screen of my phone repeatedly as I bit on my lips while swallowing

unnecessarily.

"What's going on, you look anxious and uneasy," Karina asked, looking in my direction.

"Hawa said the result for the exams will be out today and a mail will be sent if we were picked for the

placement" I explained. Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.

"I know how you get when you're expecting and anticipating something Te,s," Karina said placing her

fingers over mine that rested on my side.

"It's going to be alright, you just have to believe " she assured in a ca and soothing tone. Karina had

always been my go-to person when I had issues and needed someone to help me solve it. She was

younger but then sometimes she gave good advice.

"So, how will you tell Ridwan or has he accepted that you can work now," Rina asked curiously

"I don't know how I will tell him but at this point, he doesn't have a choice but to let me work. This is

what I want, this is my dream, so why would he want to take that from me" I explained with a furrowed

eyebrow because all Ridwan was doing wasn't making sense to me anymore and I felt it was ridiculous

and senseless.

"I hope he does understand that because from what you explained to me, it seemed like his mind was

made up," Karina said

"And my mind is made up too" I added

"We are here," The driver said as he halts the car.

I and Karina got down from the car, we proceeded to the boot of the car as I helped her with her

boxes down. I dragged one of the boxes behind me as marina also dragged one next to me.

"I will miss you dearly, Take care of yourself and mother," I said as I pulled her into a tight hug

"I will, you take care of yourself too," Karina said then picked up the box I had been helping her with

as she waves and I just watched her walk away.

My phone beeped immediately Karina was out of sight. I looked at the screen of my phone as I slowly

walked back to the car to get going. It was a message from Karina.

"The mail will be delivered to your place, I hope you have received it and congratulations for passing.

A friend told me you had the best score too"

I smile as I read the message but then as I got into the car and closed the door next to me, it dawned

one that the only person available at home was Ridwan and Ayo and so I prayed silently that the mail

had been delayed or that it was Ayo who received it instead.

"Please can you go a little bit faster than this," I said to the driver as I adjusted in my seat putting on

my seat belt. I bit on my nails continuously, my heart felt like it was beating faster than it had been. I

could feel hot even though the Air conditioner was turned on. I kept checking my phone to see if I got a

message from Ayo or Ridwan about anything. I rubbed my feet against one another in a nervous way

as I kept my face straight carefully monitoring how many minutes we had to get home. I just wanted to

be home right now, it felt like every minute we spent on the road increased the likely hood of something

happening at home. I didn't like how I was feeling but I couldn't control it either. I could sense the fear in

mine. It was unconscious but I didn't like the fact that he was making me feel this way though.

A few minutes later, the driver pulled over at the driveway and I immediately opened the door to the

car walking as fast as I could into the house. I knocked for a bit before Ayo opened the door. Her face

was a bit gloomy and I could tell something was wrong. I entered the house and as she closed the door

behind me. I whispered in a low tone to her.

"Please did you receive a package for me" and I silently prayed she said a yes but her face looked

ahead into the living room. I turned my face to the direction she was looking at and then I saw Ridwan

stand from his seat holding up a package.

"Are you looking for this" he questioned as he walked slowly towards where I was standing. Ayo

looked at me briefly with an "I wish I could help you" face before walking away as Ridwan came closer.

I felt helpless but more than that I felt fear, I didn't understand how the man I had falling in love with

some years back had become someone I couldn't recognize and someone that made me have

palpitations just by the sound of his name when I did some things. I didn't like this feeling.

"You have some explaining to do," Ridwan said with a straight face as it felt like his eyes were

piercing through my soul.
