Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 799

and for each question, she wrote just one formula, or a sentence or two, then swiftly moved on to the next.

Flora picked up her pen with a calm and collected ease, seemingly carelessly jotting down formula after formula. Her speed was astonishing! In less than half a minute, she had finished the first question. Then, onto the second... The third... Almost without seeming to think, In less than five minutes, she had caught up with, and even surpassed, some of the others in their problem-solving speed.

"How can she be so fast? She's not just scribbling nonsense, is she?" Many were stunned and murmured among themselves. That comment was met with disdainful looks from those nearby, who then, realizing their faux pas, fell into embarrassed silence.

Flora, scribbling nonsense? Perhaps they might have thought so before, but not now - they didn't dare. Their faces had been metaphorically slapped enough already; any more and they'd start to swell!Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Only... The formulas Flora wrote were indeed beyond their comprehension.

"Professor Smith, do you understand what Flora is writing?" asked a curious contestant from the U.S. team to their team leader, Professor Smith.

Professor Smith didn't respond, just stared intently at the big screen. He too could only understand part of those formulas. Some, he wanted to examine more closely, but by then, Flora had already quickly moved on to the next question. That girl... Truly a genius, no, a prodigy!

"Mr. Tanner, are those formulas Flora wrote even correct?" asked Debra and others from the Austenberg team, unable to hold back. Flora seemed confident in her writing, but they couldn't understand it at all!

"Cough cough, whether they're

correct or not, we'll know soon enough, won't we?" Mr. Tanner touched his nose, not wanting to admit that he too found them hard to understand. But knowing Flora as he did he was confident that she wouldn't just write formulas without reason. Her confident approach suggested they were likely correct. The worry he had initially felt began to dissipate. A smile couldn't help but spread across his lips. He had said it, with Flora on the case, there would be no problems!

Flora had now finished the last two questions, still at an astonishing speed, and then- Submitted her answers. After doing all this, she walked off the stage.

Meanwhile, everyone else was still working on their answers. Only fifteen minutes had passed since the start of the competition. And considering that Flora didn't start immediately, she had completed all the questions in just ten minutes. The room fell silent, everyone watching Flora's composed figure leaving the stage, speechless. She was a phenomenon.

...

In the monitoring room, Abbey's smile had completely vanished. Her expression gradually twisted into one of madness! "Ah!" She screamed in frustration. How could those formulas have been written by Flora, when even she could barely understand them? How could Flora possibly! She was only so young, and moreover, a freshman in the medical department. How could she know so much!

Flora walked off the stage, over to the Austenberg team, and casually sat down, one leg elegantly crossed over the other, exuding an aura of authority Mr. Tanner weakly looked at her, really wanting to ask what all that she wrote meant, but ultimately too embarrassed to speak up. Him, the team leader and the head of the national medical department, asking a student for explanations, would be too embarrassing! Right! So he decided, once they returned, he'd quietly ask in private.

After each round of the competition, there was a twenty-minute wait for the rankings and results to be announced. Everyone was on tenterhooks, exceedingly curious about Flora's final score. The things she wrote, odd and peculiar, left them wondering if they would actually earn her any points. But more than half an hour had passed, and the results were still not out.
