Chapter 7 Yesterday Was Mr. Marvin’s Birthday
Chapter 7 Yesterday Was Mr. Marvin’s Birthday
Marvin’s face was weirdly gloomy, and there was no sign of any pleasure he should have gotten after
he lashed out and defiled Elizabeth in the Bentley.
One would assume that it was getting defiled in the car that drove her to resist him even worse until...
Elizabeth slumped against the corner of the car, with a dull look in her eyes and dried tear marks on her
cheeks.
Looking at her submissive and tortured appearance, Marvin just became more irritable.
Her blood soaked his pants, and wiping it up with a bunch of paper towels didn’t clean it up at all. He
took a deep breath, tossed the paper rolls to the side with anger, and sternly rebuked, “Such bad luck!”
Elizabeth was so torn out by him. She didn’t want to say anything but she couldn’t help it anymore
hearing his disgusting tone. Those deeply-suppressed emotions overflowed, and finally, it got a little out
of hand.
Biting on the corners of her lips, Elizabeth said in an extremely ironic tone, “Well, you know... it’s indeed
bad luck. You are such a big shot in the business, you are entitled to be superstitious. Besides, you
slept with me, the person you share the same family name with. It was already a shameful ugly thing to
do. So I guess a bit more bad luck was just the tip of an iceberg, wasn’t it?”
Marvin squinted his eyes, reached out with his slender and powerful arm, grabbed her by her weakest
spot with a slight hook, and squeezed on it...
Elizabeth could sense the danger and depression in his voice, and Marvin said to her word by word,
“Now you talk back? You seem confident enough to fight back. Didn’t you learn your lesson?”
Elizabeth sat there with a pale stiffened face. She looked out the window, and her tears pour out in
silence.
...
Elizabeth expected Marvin would beat her up miserably for talking back, after all, it wasn’t the first time.
Marvin seemed to be in a strange state tonight, though. He didn’t even bother to humiliate or scold her.
He just went ahead and drove back home in complete silence.
After parking into the garage, Marvin pushed the door open, got out of the car leaving Elizabeth behind,
and strode inside.
Elizabeth was trying to cover her embarrassing body while getting out of the car. Every step felt like she
was walking on thorns, and each step forward hurt.
Finally, she made it back to her room upstairs. When she was about to shut the door, a big hand
pushed on her slim body.
She almost fell, and there was a strong slamming sound behind her. Marvin lifted her right up like he
was carrying a light feather.
Elizabeth speculated he was about to force intercourse with her again. She was so flustered that she
wailed and subdued, “Marvin, can we please do it some other time, I feel terrible, please let go of me,
don't you think it's filthy...”
Marvin has always been a neat freak. Even though he had never gone easy on her before, tonight he
did seem oddly different.
Elizabeth was really afraid that this time it would wake some sort of perversity genes in him, and she
would suffer even more if he became obsessed with this from now on.
However, Marvin just kept a straight face and threw her into the bathtub.
Hot water gradually overflew her body...
When Marvin was rubbing her body, all Elizabeth could feel was anxiety and discomfort. She was in
both shame and fright.
He washed her up like he was scrubbing a small animal, however, he seemed grumpy.
Elizabeth was completely submissive to him - He rinsed her up, dried her, helped her put on a
nightgown, and blow-dried her hair.
At last, Marvin held her up and put her to bed.
She carefully observed the man's face and could see that he was still mad.
She curled up on the head of the bed, and Marvin sat on the bedside with a grouchy look.
Elizabeth didn’t know what to do, and she didn't dare to lie down.
These two stayed in quietness for quite a while, but eventually, she decided to speak up, “I can’t do it
tonight...”
It sounded like a fairly common request, but Marvin turned his head suddenly and gouged her fiercely.
Elizabeth was frightened, her lips trembled, and she looked at him helplessly. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
Marvin bit on the corners of his lips, and there was no warmth in what he was about to say.
"Rather than sleep around with men, couldn’t you bear any other things in your mind?"
He got up and slammed the door behind him even before Elizabeth could react.
...
The next morning, Elizabeth went downstairs for lunch.
Marvin was out early already. She was sitting in the dining room all by herself. The whole villa was
quiet, yet there was a discomforting vibe.
While she was getting skeptical about this, Mrs. Brown, who looked after her, walked over and spoke
cautiously.
“Miss Elizabeth, it was Mr. Marvin’s birthday yesterday. Did you not remember it?”
Elizabeth froze.
Right, yesterday was indeed Marvin's birthday.
But she was asked to the police station for her statement, and Marvin forced himself on her in the car.
How would she remember it was his birthday when she was suffering.
But... Ever since her mother brought her into the Bennett family at the age of eight, Elizabeth had been
there for Marvin to celebrate every birthday of his.
No wonder he acted funny last night.
Elizabeth was a little stunned, and she thought of Ann Charke.
Now that she was in such a dark place, she ought to stop stupidly dwelling on the past.
Marvin already had a fiancé.
It didn’t matter whether she remembered his birthday or not.
Elizabeth laughed in a self-deprecating way, “Mrs. Brown, my brother is getting married. My future
sister-in-law will keep him company and help him celebrate his birthdays. I did forget that it was his
birthday, but I think Marvin would not mind at all.”
Mrs. Brown was embarrassed. Elizabeth put down her chopsticks, got up, and left.
Mrs. Brown couldn’t help but mutter behind her, “Miss Elizabeth, Mr. Marvin, he still cares about you...”
Did he care about her?
Elizabeth was having a dull pain in her body, but it was inconvenient to even apply medication during
her menstruation.
Mrs. Brown might not realize how ironic her words sounded at the moment.
Marvin did use to care about Elizabeth.
But that ended a year ago.
That rainy night a year ago was the beginning of her nightmare.
That kind of pain was the cruelest torture for an eighteen-year-old girl.
“Marvin, it hurts.”
“Marvin, be gentle...”
“Marvin...”
She begged him so helplessly, and she cried so much that her throat went hoarse.
But Marvin was just sneering, coldly and cruelly.
He covered her mouth and said these vicious words.
“Elizabeth, from today on, your life is doomed. You are responsible for paying back what you owe the
Bennett family.”
