Chapter 9 Warnings

As soon as I was ready, I jumped in my car, and I drove to the nightclub. I walked to the VIP side, to our private table. Gemma and her two friends, Daniella and Lilah, were already there. When I stepped to them and Gemma noticed me, she stood up suddenly and hugged me.

I had a grip on her only for a moment, then I pushed her away. I didn’t like her hugging me, especially not when Riccardo’s people were probably watched me.

The thoughts of having to do this to my so-called wife as well, annoyed me already, but I tried not to think of that yet.

“What’s up, ladies?”

I asked them while I sat down next to Gemma.

“Gideon, I wanted to have some drinks, but they wanted me to pay for them.” She complained.

“Well, it’s a club. We make money by selling drinks. This is what we do.”

Gemma looked at me like she wanted to kill me.

“Are you kidding me?” She asked me annoyed, which made me laugh out loud.

“Tell me what you want. I’ll get that for you.”

I leaned closer to her.

“This time I’ll be nice to you. You don’t need to pay at the bar, you can pay for me like you don’t need your wallet. The only thing that you need to open is your mouth.”

She grinned.

“That is not a problem.”

“Good girl.”

I stood up, and I motioned her to come with me.

“Excuse us, ladies.”

I told them and left them at the table, pulling Gemma with me.

We had a big room and an office on the top. I led her into the room and locked the door. I sat on the sofa comfortably and waited for her to start. She knew exactly what I was expecting her to do.

Gemma went down on her knees and undid the zip on my trousers. She undid the thin lace of her dress, pulling the top side to her waist, letting her big breasts free for me to see, which made me hard instantly.

“Babe, go down alone. I’ll call the bar to get you free drinks.”

She had a glance of dislike at me, then left without a word.

Only when we were alone in the room, Seth laughed and shook his head.

“Free drinks? Seriously?”

“She paid for me directly.”

Seth just continued shaking his head with a smile.

“Why did you come? I thought ‌you were spending the night at home.”

“Yes, the plan was that, but I had something to do, and I thought I would come in to see you.”

“What for?”

“We had a family dinner today.”

Okay, I knew exactly why he came, and I didn’t want to hear that.

“I don’t care about her, Seth. How many times do I have to repeat that?”

“This is crazy. Cancel the wedding, Gideon, while it’s not too late.”

“What? Why would I do that? I won’t cancel it.”

“Gideon, she -”

“I don’t care.” I shouted this time.

He looked at me in disbelief.

“Do you know what, Gideon? Then just do what you want, but don’t blame anyone if your plan will not work.”

Then he turned his back to me and left the room. I was angry, too. I never argued with him. He wasn’t just my bother, he was my best friend as well, and he always wanted the best for me. But this time, he had to understand I got the right to make my own decisions.

Sloane also tried to call me later, but I ignored her call. I knew what she wanted. I was tired of them trying to make me change my mind.

After going back down, I partied with Gemma and her friends, and I got drunk.

I took Gemma home in the morning. We had a good, satisfying, wild sex.

She hugged me after we finished, but I was too tired and drunk to push her away.

“Gideon, please don’t do this. Don’t get married. Especially don’t do that for me.” Her drunk and tired voice made my eyes open for a minute.

“Gemma, it won’t take long. Everything will be fine.” I told her.

“I have a bad feeling about this. You’ll abandon me.”

“No, I won’t, and now let me sleep.”

“But Gideon, please listen to me-”

“Gemma, let me sleep, otherwise you can sleep on the coach.”

I heard her to sigh, and finally she remained quiet.

One thing she knew about me. If she wanted me to stay, she had to obey me. Even if she hated to remain quiet, she would rather keep her thoughts unsaid than watch me leave.

My dad’s phone call woke me up, but I just turned my phone off and fell back to sleep.

The sun rose when I woke up. I still felt really comfortable. I wished I never needed to get up. Thinking about the happenings of yesterday, reminded me what I missed the most. I have had no training for two days.

I got up, even if I really didn’t want to. It was six am. I thought the family wouldn’t wake up that early.

I went for a run.

The land was vast, so that was perfect. I ran for about an hour. When I finished, I stretched next to the pool. I nearly fell into the water when Lilly appeared suddenly. Her expression showed worry while she grabbed my arm, but I only smiled at her and shook my head.

“No. Nothing happened, Lilly. I just didn’t expect anyone to come.”

She smiled and gave me a bottle of water.

It surprised me, but I took it from her.

“Thank you, Lilly.”

She nodded. Then she took a paper and a pen from her pocket and wrote ‌ down what she wanted to tell me. She had to go back to make breakfast for the family, so she wanted to let me know they would have it in an hour.

“Then I think it’s time for me to take a shower. Thank you, Lilly.”

She smiled at me and left.

I held my water bottle and rushed back into my room to shower. I took my time to wash myself from head to toe. When I finished and wanted to get a towel, I realized there wasn’t any, and last night I left my bathrobe in the room. I sighed before I stepped out of the shower cabin naked. The water dripped from my hair, so I tried to be quick. However, when I stepped in the room, my heart skipped as I noticed Mrs. Sullivan sitting on my bed with a long, white, silk ribbon in her hand, staring at my naked body.
