Cold-Hearted Princess Novel

Chapter 102

Chapter 102 An honest conversation

“I don’t know. Actually, he never hurt me. He was cold to me at first, but he never mistreated me, and he gave me so much in the end. After we started our relationship, I never felt unloved.” Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

I sighed.

“Look, Alice, I really hate this connection between you two. Our families are enemies, and we never become friends with enemies, understand?”

I felt my heart pounding faster, and even if I felt I couldn’t hold my tears back, I nodded.

He remained motionless and quiet for a little while. He looked like he wants to speak, but something held him back. He exhaled, eventually.

“But.” I moved my gaze back to him. “We are not Capulets and Montagues either, and I just got you back. I don’t want to lose you because I forbid you to meet him. Know, I’ll never like him, and probably I’ll be the happiest person on Earth if you two won’t get on with each other. Finally, and I think this sis the most important you must know, If he’s going to hurt you again, I’m going to torture him to death. Understand?”

I smiled through my tears and that was the first time I leaned closer and I hugged him. He hugged me back, keeping me tight, like he waited for this too. He caressed my back. That was the first time I felt I had a real father.

When he let me go, he wiped my tears.

“And about what he said…

I looked at him, waiting for him to finish.

“He told you the truth, Alice, but I was fuming. I tried to find you for a long time. And even when I found you, I had to face that you belonged to my enemies. The Sullivans were hurting you, and they couldn’t take care of you like they should, so I felt like they didn’t deserve to know anything about you. I know Gideon is still young, therefore he is reckless, but if he wants to be with my daughter, he must improve a lot.”

He stopped a bit.

“And about that woman. Just like he said, he wasn’t with her. After you left the club, he went back home alone. But just monitor her, because they are about to cooperate in business, and I know her family broke. So probably their intention is to marry into the Sullivan family. Seth is married. Sloane is a woman, but Gideon is divorced.”

That information hit me, but I thought if Gideon really wanted to be with me, then I had nothing to worry about.

“Do you know more about her?”

“Yes, a little, but that shouldn’t affect you.”

“Thank you Riccardo.”

He shook his head.

“No Alice, don’t thank me. If that was up to me, I would never let you be with him. It took a great effort of Alexandra to persuade me I have to give you the opportunity to meet him freely, and talk to him. To accept your decision.”

I smiled, then I kissed his face.

“Can I go to her now?”

“Yes.

He smiled at me while I stood up, and I ran up to hug and thank Alexandra.

Gideon

After she texted me back, I felt at ease instantly. I knew I felt she was still in love with me, but I also understood her concerns. They lied to her. They never told her I was there, and I wanted her back. Riccardo made her believe I signed the divorce agreement. Bustards. I thought. But knowing that, I didn’t wonder why she signed it so easily. She thought I was only playing with her, and I wanted to get rid of her this way.

Chapter 102 An honest conversation

I swore I’d do everything to win her back, no matter what and how long it would take.

I strolled into my room, and after a shower, I collapsed into my bed. I still had her picture on my bedside table, and I had a look at it each time before i went to sleep. She had lighter hair now. Usually I was after the blonde ones, but I liked Alice’s natural brown hair.

I put the picture back, and I turned on my side. I fell asleep soon. It was the evening when I woke up, and I needed a few minutes to get back into reality. I checked my phone, and I had an unreceived call. That was my dad. There was a message from my mum, asking me how I am. And, to see another from Alice melted my heart instantly.

Would you take me out on a date?

My eyes widened, but I smiled.

Where do you want to go?”

I want a date, I never had a date before.”

I would love to take you out, but can you get out of there safely?

“Gideon, I’m not a prisoner.”

What she wrote made me frown. I just didn’t understand how she could go wherever she wanted. I was sure Riccardo wouldn’t let her go anywhere, and he made sure she was watched. Probably because he didn’t trust her.

*“What day are you not training?”

“Whenever the date is.”

“Okay, leave it with me. I’ll text you soon. I love you, Alice.”

I got no answer, but that was okay. It made me smile. She was stubborn enough. I knew I had to win her back first. But I was ready to do that, whatever

it took. I got out of bed and I went to the bathroom. I wanted to take her out on a date that she would never forget.

I wrote to my mum, and I just went to my living room. My thoughts were on the places I could take Alice. I knew a few that would amaze her.

There was a restaurant in a hotel. Its balcony had a beautiful view of the sea. I knew how much she loved to have a walk on the seashore, so I was sure she would like it. We could watch the sunset together. Then, I could take her wherever she would want to go. Yes, I thought that would be perfect for a first date.

After finding the restaurant’s number, I rang them, and I made the reservation. I reserved the whole balcony, so we wouldn’t be disturbed and I also made sure the decoration would take her breath away. The first free place was three days away, which was a Friday. Even if I knew that probably wouldn’t happen, I also booked a room too, and I organised some clothes too, to change the next day. Maybe… I thought.

“Friday six pm.”

Okay, pick me up from the D’angeli house.”

I frowned. For a moment, I thought she was just joking. I only hoped that it wasn’t about her trying to fool me.

*“Last time I was there, they wanted to shoot a bullet into my head.”

“Be brave. Gideon. LOL.**

LOL? Seriously?

“Alice, are you playing with me?”
