Sydney's brows furrowed. "Why must it be Rose? She's not a rich heiress. I don't think she fulfills your criteria of an ideal daughter-in-law."

“She benefits me in a myriad of ways. If she didn't marry my son, how would the two of us be able to sit down and talk so patiently with each other?"
